Title: Creating Ports with TE2
Post by: soda72 on September 25, 2004, 08:06:36 PM
when I create a port in TE2 it gets listed as an airfield when you select the "field setup" menu..  It also shows up on the clipboard as an airfield when using the map in AHII..  Is there a property that I should set for this object so it is recognized as a port?  In the help file it mentions setting the Object Data Property to 0 for an airfield, 1 for a vehicle field and 2 for a port, But it didn't seem to do anything...

Highlight the port to get it in the object list then double-click
it to bring up the properties window. In the box marked object data put a 2 then restart editor.

When placing a field of any kind in AH2, you need to set the object type to tower. once you set the field to tower another list shows up in the bottom right saying airfield, change it to port or whatever kind of field you are wanting. (this changes object data to 2 like zmeg said but this solves any problems saying your field does not have a tower)

Fields should not be towers they all should be 'group masters' don't worry about the error report in the current editor version.

yes, do a object search for towers then use the change all button.
