Just a question about the bombers.
As far as I know, only 1 other person can join your bomber. Not sure, haven't tried more that 1 but when my friend joined me I was only able to be the pilot. I put the plane on auto but couldn't move to any of the gun locations. Unless I was doing something wrong. I was very disappointed because had 2 other friends trying to shoot us down.
So 1)how many players can join your bomber
2)can or how does, the pilot jump to guns while someone else is in the bomber with you.

You can only have one guy join you as a gunner, and from that point on, you're strictly the pilot. It'd be nice to have multiple gunners tho'...if they could unlink all of the guns to have multiple gunners that is.

I believe that you sould be able to have multible gunners in the Buffs. Maybe Pyro,Hiteck or someone else could answer why this is not a feature.

Like WB you mean?
There it is possible in a Bomber to have more Gunners.
It would be fine too if a Gunner could hop in the Bombers place to aim and drop the Eggs.

Glitch I guess, I was posted three times. Or does that mean I am the 1,000,000th poster boy in Aces High? What do I win Jonny lol (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Why you aren't able to have multiple gunners in Buffs at the moment:
The current firing system allows one player to gun multiple stations at the same time. If you put two players in there, you'll have the problem of two people commanding the same gun. For example: put one guy in the nose of a B17, the other in the tail. One 109 comes in from high 12, the other from the high 6. Both gunners fire with all the guns they can. Who gets the top turret?
The only way you could go to a WB-style gunning system is by allowing gunners to run only one post, or by "hard-wiring" gun assignments. (think: .join player n, where n is a number from 0 to 127. Each bit corresponds to a gunner position. Default is 127)

Dinger I don't understand what your saying. In Warbirds I could fill my whole craft. Even with me having contol of a nose gun,but not in a B17. They don't have one. Can you be more clear?
-
Dinger I read you post again to make sure, I know what your saying, but they could allow more than 1 gunner in a plane. When they type .join X They tell him or her what gunner possitions are open and give him or her the option of picking one and they have to stick with it if the Buff is filled, if not they can move around. If Warbirds can do it, Aces High can do it also. Its not that hard to apply.

Let me explain it again:
The WB system lets you do it because in WB when you man a gun, you can only fire that gun and not the others (hence otto).
AH won't let you do that, because the current gunning code lets you fire all the guns. (hence no need for otto).
The only way you could change this would be by allowing a gunner to pick which guns (note: not gun, but guns) s/he wants to run, then telling that player's FE that the other guns are "dead".
This is why the AH equivalent of WB's ".gun handle position" (e.g., ".gun dweeb tail") isn't ".join handle position", but ".join handle positions" (e.g., ".join dweeb 53" for positions 7 (32), 6 (16), 4 (4) and 2 (1)) As you can see, this system could be implemented, but it
A. Would be confusing
B. Would probably be little-used
C. Would take away resources from more useful projects (like a more interesting bombsight).
If you just added the WB system as is, nobody would take on gunners, as they'd be less effective than the pilot manning the guns himself. Let's see, should I jump to guns myself and fire all that can bear on a target, or should I bring aboard a gunner and limit myself to just one?
Or we could bring in otto (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif).

It is possible to have more than 1 person aboard your aircraft. It's just that after the 1st guy, everyone else would just be along for the ride.
Only the 1st guy would be your gunner, you'd be the pilot only.
anyone else is just an observer.
While I personally would LOVE to be able to carry multiple gunners, it would involve some sort of "otto" for the unmmanned gun positions, and as such would be detrimental to how the game works now.
For "playability" I believe the current system is the best. Much preferred over the only other option, (otto) that would be required.
