I heard the other day on the radio the 60% of Iraq has registered to vote.
Anyone have any news sources that can confirm this?

Check the website of the station and they will prolly have a news section.

They are not doing as well as Afghanistan where it looks like 110% have registered to vote!

Elections will be held in New Chicago, Afghanistan. :D

wow...Iraq and afghanistan are putting us to shame. Their first time out and get that high of a registration...
We've been doing it for over 200 years and only get 63.9% of voting age people registered..of which on average ony 57% of those people actually vote.

ASTAC,
Frequently the percentage of voters is even lower. I have seen some elections decided by only 30% or less as most couldn't be bothered to excercise the responsibility to be responsible for their own government. Sad really, especially as they feel competant to criticise the way things go but incompetent to make any impact on it themselves by voting.
As far as I am concerned, if you do not vote you have no right to ***** about the outcome. If you do not like the cantidates there must be at least one you want to make sure doesn't get the office more than the other. Vote or STFU about the results. You have your option to make yourself heard.
