Fiddlin with the default skin. Rear fuse has mirror issues that prohibit doing the ridge
in blue as it should be.

One thing I noticed on the plate I have is that the left wing insignia is huge stretching
out to behind the guns. I did it that way.

Guppy do you have any pictures ??

As a matter of fact :)

The only one I know of.  But I would imagine since it's color it was the guide for the AH bird.

Thanks Guppy !! It's a strange "D" but there it is..

Interesting how the numbers are crunched up against the stabilizer.

Your amazing.

Thanks.

The other interesting things to me are the way the added fin the the spine to the tail looks more like an N model then a D but it's clearly a D.

Also note how the blue appears to go all the way up that dorsal fillet. and that the canopy frames looks to be the same blue as the other markings

Hi Nopoop

Man, you do great work with these skins.  If I was 50 years younger would give it a try myself.  These old eyes ain't what they used to be.

Believe you did a USAAF Tbolt with a cammo paint scheme.  Really great job.

Any chance of putting a cammo scheme on the P51B with some RAF Squadron marks?  I can get you the research you need for the squadrons.  RAF used a bunch of B models.

Just asking, know this must be complicated as the devil.

Anyway, keep up the good work.

Cheers

Majors I stay away from the 51's. There's alot of people doing them. Putting out some fine skins. Sort of a full bar, standing room only. I'm searching for a RAF plate for the 47. I'd like to do one.

Have some Osprey books incoming that will give me some more 47 ideas.

But I'd like to move over to the darkside and do an FW 190-A8. No ones doing them and it would be in keeping with the leathers that are gathering dust in my closet.

Thanks for the props, I'm glad you enjoy the skins.

it should be P-47D-40's default skin!
