I had it too. It's Web Rebates. The little piece of **** would pop up anywhere I went where you could buy something.
If you hit "ctrl-alt-del" you can actually end the program. It will try to restart, but don't let it.
-
Hehe Furball. Now you are seeing things. Someone give him back his meds before he hurts himself. :D

That page is just unbelievable, I'm sure it scares half of the potential customers away. That dreadful thing will surely not excite anyone.

its a browser hijacking bug ..
they come in thru active scripts in your internet settings .
ad aware may get it .. but you will probely have to start up in safe mode and edit the regestry to totally wipe it out .
if its a brand new bug you may have to wait a day or two for the av/spyware programs to update for it .
-
If you know when it started up, you can search for all files that were created that day as well. But take care, some of those files will be legitimate.
Just right click and check the properties of the file, particularly who it was created by.
-
you are infected.....
Identify the file(processes), it will be an active program that you won't be able to delete....
only way to do this is in SAFE MODE(deleting that fuggin active process)
-
I shot the bas***d!
(Runing AAW on safe mode did it, thank you for the advice(s)) :)
