Title: A ruskie , yank and a limey....................

Are flying along in AH one day.......

Yank in a p51 D  (no bombs 25% fuel)
Limey in a  Spit 9 (no bombs 25 % fuel)
Ruskie in a La 7 (no bombs 100 % fuel)

Well, they are flying side by side at 275 mph and  co alt  (250 ft)and smiling....its a nice day.

Each have left their favourite drink on the bar at the air feild and they all agreed that  the one to make it back gets them all.

They all cut their engines at the same time and all maintain level glide (x) at 250 ft until they stall......only the last man still flying can  restart his engine..... (thats the bet)

Who gets to drink the others drinks...... and why?

somehow I suspect only the spit 9 pilot will survive a stall at 250 feet due to the lower wing loading.

Say, you ever lose your engine in a Dora? You can glide for miles, and slowing down to land takes loops.

Always thought that was strange.

yup, the La7...  The Pony probably fell first, followed by the Spit IX, and then a year later, the La7 finally stalled.   ;)
