Okay, not exactly the right forum but I need some help asap! Just put in a VooDoo 5 and keep getting this message:

"initialization failed with -3 main GR3D failed -3"

then pops me back to the desktop.

Already missed the final Afrika Corps frame because of this!

Try reinstalling Dx7...that did it for me every time!

Yikes... thanks Andy! I checked my dx version and it is 6.1... way out of date I suppose. I'm off to grab the latest drivers for the card and the lates dx7 drivers, if I can find them.

Voodoo 5 otw back to store... utter garbage! Very bad stuttering, blue lines going through terrain, there's this dark vertical bar sliding left to right across screen, screen brightness fluctuating.

Ahh well, such is life.

Might be a bad card. My V5 us doing just fine...although I do get the sky banding as have others...but none of the rest.

V5 elsewhere is tops!

Make sure you install DX8, and the latest DX8 compatible drivers from 3DFX's web site.  If you still get the blue lines in the terrain, try running at 85mhz refresh rate.  Not sure about the rest of the issues.
