Ok. From all my readings and the like I've seen that some jetfighters can do super sonic flight really easily. I've been playing around with the F22a in USAF the game. But I've been having trouble getting the thing to break Mach 1, much less hold something.
Am I doing something wrong, is it the game, or is it something I don't know.
-
That's weird. The F-22 is supposed to be able to cruise above Mach 1...
-
Better than that, the F22 is supposed to supercruise, past mach1 without even using afterburners.
So yeah, you're doing something wrong or they porked their flight model.

Lasersailor it's been awhile but you should be able to do Mach 1 in Janes USAF. I'd load it if my system lets me. I may have to try it again sometime.
Krusty F/A 22 is not the only bird capable of super cruise. It's the fuel economy and the sustainability of doing super cruise that makes the F/A 22. We have an F-15 that was capable of super cruise but the fuel consumption was ungodly.
-
F-22 can supercruise at 30,000 feet, not sea level.
-
Ok, so get to 30k and it'll supercruise.

The Gripen can supercruise. The export model Hornets that we have can also supercruise, they have more powerful engines.
