Does anyone have some cool pictures and stuff of a P47 11 that i can try skinning. It looks like a fun plane to skin!

There are some pics here (8 pages). You should try to do an all metal D11. : http://home.att.net/~Historyzone/Seversky-Republic3.html

The picture was taken with a horizontal shutter.

I usually get my ideas from Osprey's "Aircraft of the Aces" books. There are a number of volumes about the P-47. They contain a nice section of color plates.
WWII color photography is pretty rare.
Another thing you could do is Google search on WWII aviation art and P-47. That should get you enough to get going! GL!

Guppy do you have any more info on Touch of Texas that I can use for submittal ??
Thanks !!

Not sure what else you need beyond what is written below the profile.
They were based at Airfield A-64, St. Dizier, France, From August to December 1944 as part of the 9th AF.
The profile itself came out of Warren Bodie's book, 'Thunderbolt"

hmmmm... I have a 1/48 jug done up as touch of texas - one of the default markings in the revell kit... damn paint sheet shows entirely white cowl - your pix has a blue one...
ah well, easy enough to mask and paint it over... the blue looks better. :)
