Title: Tragedy has struck another AH pilot

This evening, about 6:30, a member of the 327th Steel Talons, one of those "numbers guys", 031598, lost his mother in a senseless traffic accident. She was killed by some teenagers street racing. She was only 57 years old. Please remember "03" and his family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days.

i myself lost my mother on her 55th birthday with no warning. it is a huge shock, and terribly sad.

i can give this thought... life will go on, and you will do best to think of her, and do things that would make her proud. the memory of her will always be there, and know this, she is looking down upon you smiling.

Update:

The two drivers have been charged with culpable vehicular homicide. The driver of the car that hit 03's mother admitted that at one point he was approaching 130 MPH.

The insurance company of that driver is attempting to place the blame for the accident on 03's mother.

Most importantly, the family is coping. They are dealing with everything as best they can.

They appreciate the thoughts and prayers a great deal.

The 327th would like to thank you all for your kindness for our squadmate in his time of pain and loss.

meaning the 2 persons as in who hit 031's mother?

There were two Mustangs street racing, one hit 03's mother, but both were involved in the accident and both have been charged in her death.

I do not know what the name of the insurance company is. It is standard operating procedure for an insurance company to attempt to weasle out of taking responsibility for something they were paid to cover.

GLAD they are being charged. what a waste for such a stupid foolish thing like "street racing".

people like that should not only go to jail, but if they ever get out, never be able to drive again.

I don't understand why so many parents buy their kids muscle cars.  It seems to me that about the best car for a testosterone filled teenager would be the lowest powered car you can find.

As to the insurance companies, it was my experience that they try to weasel out too.  In the mid '90s I had a car totaled and the first thing his insurance company told me when I contacted them was "Looking at the police report it was your fault."  Their client had pulled across oncoming traffic without checking to see if it was clear and gave me 20ft to stop in and based on that it was my fault?


As to these two punks, I hope they get a nice long sentence.  There is no excuse for what they did.

the perps deserve a nice big cell each, with a horny 'lifer' to keep them company. a friend of our family was hit by similar young fools, he lost only his leg....

031958, i hope you can take some solice by what ever means possible. my deepest sympathies again .
