Work has been underway on 1.05. Nate's F6F and Superfly's TBM are coming along nicely and we'll be starting on the ships soon. We want the naval aspect to be more than just a carrier cruising around the terrain. There are a lot of elements we're looking to include in this system for 1.05 and beyond. Player-controlled task forces, player-controlled anti-aircraft and shore bombardment batteries, supply ship convoys, PT boats, LVTs, PT boat and seaplane tenders, shipyards, etc. These additions will create a dynamic target-rich environment that will open up new aspects of gameplay. We'll talk more about what to expect in 1.05 and how it will work as it comes together.

Thank you HTC! From Pyro's recent news, it sounds like you've been working hard to implement some new strat into AH. Once again, a prime example of HTC listening to it's customers.

HT said at the con that this sim will focus on "Flight Sim First". With that being said ,I would have to believe that all other objects are there to add gameplay and strat.

Some folks "think" he's competing with WW2 online, however, I don't believe he is, and when WW2 Online gets here, we'll have a chance to evaluate the FM's to see who's right. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

If you think about it though... all they have to do for 1.05 is completely re-design the terrain, finish work on 2 new aircraft and then develop the battlefleet.

I'm not expecting it by the end of the month. I'd be amazed if it made it for tour 11.

Are there plans to include seaplanes in this game? Catalinas, Emilies, Rufes, and Petes? That would be downright awesome. I had the pleasure of seeing a Catalina make a water landing and takeoff last summer and it was quite a sight. Its bow wave gets huge as it struggles to get that big fuselage up on top of the water. Once its up though, its the picture of grace.

I just cant wait to shoot traps on the carriers. Didn't some of the WW2 carriers have catapults in WW2? I know one had a hanger deck catapult, but I havent seen a WW2 sim yet simulate a cat. launch. Don't get your tail hook shot off! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
