Title: Kerry Will Restore American Dignity
Post by: montag on October 07, 2004, 02:22:17 PM
Seems like waste of a thread so I'll change the subject. Why did we invade Iraq and alienate the US from its allies. Afterall Iraq was already under sanctions, limited in its no fly zone, its military was mostly demolished. Why Iraq when Iran was more dangerous. No wmd, no nuclear program, etc... and now Iraqi terrorists are wanting to plot against targets in the US if given a chance.  Iraq is now important because it is a stage in the middle east that has to be won or else the decision to go into Iraq was a terrible mistake.

You shouldn't change the topic of a thread once folks responded to it, even double posts. Else, those following won't be able to make sense of it.

Why didn't you just use the delete key...?

Because eventually the world would have turned a blind eye to Iraq even calling the "no fly zones" unjustifiable.

Eventually Sadam would take all the billions of dollars he made off the "oil for food" program and started making weapons again.  Meanwhile his people continue to starv and he blames America.

Then some young Idealist fanatical gives Sadam the means to set off his weapons on the steps of the capital building and he jumps at it.

Meanwhile....the support that Kerry say's he'll (mainly france germany and russion.....ALL of whome say they will not help out in Iraq even if kerry gets elected) get continues to make billions of dollars defrauding the UN and the Iraqi people and will do nothing to stop for fear of losing thier cash cow....Sadam

It wasn't the United States that lost any 'dignity' over Iraq...   And...., if we did......,  it wasn't with anyone that mattered.
