Well I saw an all time new low last night. Had a guy change sides and blatantly give away cv info..base situations..friendly aircraft and goon positions on channel 200. Didnt even bother with keeping it on the down low. To make things worse, he started shadowing my every move..making sure someone was there to kill me in a gv before i got there, and spawning with me to capture a base... acting like he was trying to help. When an lvt of mine with troops got killed...his buddy (the guy who killed me) accidently asked him a question on ch 200 and totally busted him. Thank you 68doctor for shaming your whole squad and AH.
-
Yea, that`s pretty petty, but happens regualrly.
We had one twerp change sides and immediatley stated he knew the locations of the NME CVs. He got jumped on pretty hard and was told to keep it to hisself.
-
Was flying durning that time jaxxo.... have to admit was in poor taste, and prob. should be "dealt" with in some way. That sort of play is uncalled for. I for sure would tear into a WM that did any such thing.
(no bearing on the 68's as a squad as a whole, but doctor was a bit out of line)
-
I have np with 68's. Looks like they booted Doctor anyway, justice served.
-
one of them was whining on knight channel about bish spies last night.
-
68Balls is also making their squad proud these days.
-
Yeah, it's too bad. On a related note... I usually don't pay too much attention to what our CV's are doing, but I've noticed recently a lot of times the CV will be sent off to Sri Lanka and ordered to circle the island 500 times. LOL.
-
I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE !!!
-
Nopoop stfu and go make me more Jug skins! :D
-
Did you make the jug 25 skins?

Well apparently doctor is back in the 68 squad. go figure. I would like to thank 68balls for tracking down one of our goons in the middle of nowhere with a set of b17's. I apologize for having ever said anything good about you or your squad.
-
The game is great, its the players "Air Quake" mentallity that ruins the fun for me. It has become the main topic of the BBS in one form or another. It is quite obvious TO ME that many of us non-"Air Quake" guys are ready for T.O.D.
It seems every time I play I find some new disgusting trend. If its not dive bombing lancs from 15k, its a squad of 15 dweebles that sucide Jabo sortie after sortie after sortie. Or some 50 strong horde comin into attack at 30k. Its all gettin REAL ridiculous.
Somehow a food metafore seems appropriate here:
Eye Candy is a nice snack, but to maintain a long player life cycle, one must have the nutrition found in a well balanced playing environment.

first off, ill defend doc and balls by saying that they didnt start the spieing game.
they only started doing it only after a player with the game id of FBI kept comeing over to the knights to spot a cv we had been hiding and then going back to the rooks or bish? cant remember wich. anyways he kept upping bombers and trying to sink that single cv all day and we just kept upping fighters all day, killing him. i think its preety sad that someone has nothing better to do then to switch sides just to check cv positions and then spend thier whole day trying to sink'em.
now also on this note, a complaint was filed with skuzzy by either doc or balls, and skuzzy basicly said "ohh well" suck it up!, well actually i think she said spieing wasnt cheating, it was just being sneaky.
now i dont like this whole spieing thing any better than the rest of you. but what are we suppose to do about it?
id say that mabey to fix this ht should use the same technique used for determining if your computers used it's two week free trial. what i mean is not alow more than one game id per each ip: address. that way you couldnt swich sides back and forth all day useing multiple game id's.

68DevilM, Skuzzy is not a she. Or I think he is...........

Ya,
thats a great defense for trash talking and side switching, harrasing other players... You guys are a real touch of class....

Not stoop to their level ... go figure ...
Skuzzy is a "he". If he was a "she" then she would need some serious electrolosis to remove all that hair/beard from her face.
-
There is no need for spying, the fun is in fighting!
Anton
-
guess id better ask the players in question next time i see em before i make anymore comments.
but ill say these guys were probably just pissed because someone else was doing it to us so they retaliated by spying back.
doubtfull it will be an everyday thing.

cant defend the trash talking, but if you cant take it then cry about it:rolleyes:
be a bigger adult then the trash talker in question.
and i dont know for sure if either player in question did spy on anyone but, if they did i wouldnt blame em, its been going on long before the 68th got started

Geez, dev ... what can I say?
I enjoyed the 68th popping into the CT the other night but kinda thought `ol doc there was a bit of an oddbod. I mean .. it seems everywhere he goes he sees spying .... whether it exists or not. He left that night in haste over his paranoid suspician of it there to go back to the MA where things were ... ummm ... better, I guess. And now he's taken to it with not only an apparent passion but he can't even do it well?
Sorry, buddy .... I can't hardly abide a whiner .... I certainly can't abide a hypocrit ... and to be an idiot on top of that? I wouldn't waste time defending that .... it's not in my character to do so. He'd be considered a liability in the circles I run in.
Sorry .... that's the way it is.
Let me know if he stabilizes and we'll see about a second opinion.
-
I don’t know what's more silly. Sneaking about and hiding in an air combat game; spying on those that hide; or coming to the big BBS Mommy to tattletale as if its some sort of major infraction.
Butch up little soldiers; anything can be justified if you really think the main is "war".
-
hmm arlo...
im puzzled
i have duty tonight so im not able to be on. but ill have to check on doc when i get back tommorow and ask him what happened tonight.
he could be drunk though, he gets mean when he drink's. but either way he'll be alright.
ill try to quell this spying thing with the 68th, hopefully it can be stopped on the 68th part but i cant speak for the rest of the community.
police your own i guess, and to all others, try spying by useing a 262 instead of jumping countries.
-
might start flying DA/CT from now on, MA is doomed for good.
-
I once had some rather thick-headed fellow complain that I "stole" his kill. He became so righteously indignant about it that he switched countries and secretly hunted me for two hours before finally delivering the coup de gras in a 10v1.
"Aha!" he declared with satisfied glee. "My spies led me to your whereabouts, and now I have made you pay for stealing my kill! Mwahahaha!!!!"
Of course, he could have just asked where I was on Channel 200 two hours earlier, and I would have told him like I do when anyone asks. I suppose the idea of using spies just made the whole thing seem more adventurous, risky, and clever.

If your gunna talk like that, you'll have to change your sig to..
'Time munches on, for whom the Taco Bell tolls'. ;)
I witnessed the antics of the FBI guy. They do it because they can.

Too funny the way some folks take this game so seriously.
They spied so we spied. Feel sorry for the poor saps that are so desperate to feel some importance that they feel the need to spy in a game. LOL who cares?
Someone who imitates a fool just ends up looking like the fool.
And why would you want to do that?

No problem. It's not all that big a deal to me game-wise. I just can't get into the 2-sided nature of complaining about something then doing it. That and 90% of the whole worrying about spying thing (for those obsessed over it) isn't a valid concern. Well ... it'll all come out in the wash, I reckon.
On reflection ... it wasn't really worth my commenting on.
and good luck.

Your kidding !!! ... LOL !!!
He must have waited the 2 hours to get you cornered in a 10 v 1 ... that way his l33t skillz would really shine.

Can anybody see the irony in these 2 sentences ?

either way thier both adult's and in the end they'll probably do and say what they want. there have been far worse cases of profanity and down right vulgerism in the ma.
in other words, if spying isnt illegal (wish it was) then its open game to anyone as is whineing, and insulting is, in the bb.:)
-
Yeah, it might technically be part of the game, but it's kind of like deliberately kicking a ball into your own goal. That's "part of the game" too, but the game loses some of its definition when you do that.
Not that it really affects me either way, just trying to empathize a bit here.

was just wondering and i could be wrong, but i thought there was a specific, and significant, amount of time you had to wait before switching teams again:confused:
just wondering if that is still in place? not defending or attacking anyone.

It would be nice to be able to shoot the spies when they are discovered:D

All accounts have to wait. ;)
The deal is ... there's nothing to stop someone from switching their last hour online and doing their little spy thingie "for their country" then logging for the night and logging back on after work or school and hopping back to "their country" and going form there.
For that matter. There's nothing to keep groups from having people on other sides 24/7 and pming or cross-country voxing with others about enemy movement, position, missions, etc. that switch back 5 minutes before a reset to get their medal.
I just don't see the point. Then again ... I'm not a reset-crazed RISK player.
Resets aren't part of CT play. Not unless someone decides to pork the arena.

What it really is, is a SAD state of affairs. I don't know what I find more sad, hiding CV's or spying with extra accounts. Nevermind people who condone and/or encourage either, or both.

Not nearly as sad as it is silly. Think about it. Extra accounts ... to spy? As silly as ... extra accounts to vulch yourself on the field a billion times for points. Maybe someone does it. If so, I think they have more money than brains if that's how they approach their online leisure. Hopefully it's not how they approach anything else.
Personally, I think the claim of people paying HTC extra money so they can have accounts in every country when one more than suffices (if used in even a half awake state-of-mind) is as overblown as accusations of massive, rampant cheating of any sort in any arena. Add to that, that it's only actual cheating if HTC thinks it is. So it's really more of a case of distasteful methods. Even then, though, methinks more suspect than do.
There's a bit of an element of stupidity in everything, I reckon.
I'd figure the real goofy loser types at about 2%. The bottom 2. Split evenly that'd be what .... two or three idiots per side at any given moment (less if it's not prime time)? All it takes, I guess, but I'm sure some see it more.
Then again:
1: I tend to be an optimist.
2: I really don't care what silly games the rabbit plays, he'll end up in the stew pot. And if he has a second account. Then that's as good as 2 rabbits in the pot.
This wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. Just addressing both the actions and the accusations.

68DevilM, if anyone on my squad did this they would get booted. Their actions reflect on the whole squad. Even if your not the C.O. I'd still think twice for defending behavior like that. If something like that would happen to me I would get absolutly LIVID. I know spying is "apart" of the game but the actions above go beyond that.

With a bit of deduction looking at the map and willingness to spend time flying around looking, it's not too hard to locate CV's. It's called SCOUTING the enemy. Or just follow me around over any body of water. If a CV is out there, it finds me and blows my kester off. Kinda funny how CV's sorta just hate the heck outta me.:)
Just look at channel 200 as we broke their code. Knowing they know where you are is better than never having known they know..da da da ta da....................:D
