Title: Is this body armor?

Seems way too wacky of a story... and I think there must be a good explanation. Body armor would be that.

Word on the street is that Bush was wired. It's the most ridiculous thing I've heard... I reckoned some here would know what body armor looks like from behind.

I'm glad I don't live on your street.  What color is the sky there?

Kind of overcast.....

This is body armor - right?

Probably a battery back.  My understanding was that Dr. Evil, er, Cheney, had him replaced with a robot after GWB DID, in fact, choke to death on the assassination pretzel smuggled in by Condi Rice. Spurned love is dangerous love.

Heh...

I guess it was kinda stupid to ask.

This rumour is all over the place today, and it hasn't occured to ANYONE, it seems, that this is body armor. I'm certain it is, but I have no idea what that looks like.

Nevermind.

Apparently it is body armour (you closet Yankonian), and you are seeing a ceramic plate.

I think it's his big, Incredible Hulk muscles flexing and getting ready to rip open his jacket.

There's no secret that I think Bush is pretty damn stupid.

But THAT stupid? Milli Vanilli-like stupid? Nah... It's odd to me that nobody has mentioned such a simple reason for this.

That'd be funny if he was wired and still did that bad....

Not odd at all. Websites, like the one you linked to and the theories behind them are made by same sorts of people who think its more llikely that the WTC was brought down by secretly planted demolition charges rather than the deliberate 600mph impacts of giant fuel laden passenger airliners... Simple is far too complicated for these people to accept...

I think you're right... It's like ignoring the obvious at all costs.

The George Bush that we all see is actually a technologically advanced cyborg built to house Hitler's brain, which was preserved all these years by the rogue militant wing of the Amish faith, having been smuggled into the country by Eva Braun's third cousin.  Haliburton is simply a front for a new Nazi army that is building strength as we speak with money funneled to them through no-bid contracts for Iraq.  The zero hour is rapidly approaching, and soon we'll be knee deep in Gestapo and SS!  Oh My!™

Riveting thread. Looks like Nash is warming up his fingers to make post after mindless post during the debate . Can't wait for the blow by blow, it will be as exciting I'm sure."He keeps putting his hands out 12" from his nipple, ever notice that!" OMG, GW is blinking!" "Haha Kerry is owning him! "Wow!" Eagler is going to kill himself, and I'm going to the greatest ever because of 2 dipchits in an election!"

Creamo - it looks like you not only followed, but remembered my riveting debate blow by blow. Along with every other retarded thing I've said.

I feel almost sad, and certainly responsible, for you having caried such baggage around with you for the last week. You have my sincerest sympathies.

Yes it looks like level 3 armor, I think if it was a radio reciever it must be from the 1940's

Ya think they could get something that fit inside the ear like a hearing aid, anybody ever watch 007.

Or a vest bomb to take out Kerry if things got hot.
OBL his buddy gave it to him.

Last level 3 armor I used was a bit more concealed than that piece he's wearing.  It was hardly noticeable under my BDUs.  He could very well have custom made vest with larger plating.  The level 4 I purchased after 911 was about that size though and it was a concealed type vest.

You can see one that was like the one I purchased at this site.

Concealable Promax Vests III-A w/ Level IV Protection (http://www.bulletproofme.com/PHOTO%20pages/ProMAX-Rifle-Plates-Carrier-PHOTO.shtml)

I have an older set, but BDU's are not a fitted suit, I still vote armor not radio.

Scootter that's why I posted that site.  There are some concealed vests that allow up to Level IV protection at a cost.  There is only minor things that may show even in a suit.  Suits can also be made slightly larger to accomodate such items.

The area we can see does match almost perfectly with the ProMax vest link I posted.  The plate that runs directly between the shoulder blades is what looks like is poking out in the pic.

it could be what you're seeing is a wire, but going the other way.
they didn't stay at the podiums or carry a mike.  they'd have a battery pack and/or transmitter box to go with the small mikes, right?

Would anyone waste a perfectly good bullet on either of them?

Battery packs and transmitters are usually strapped around waist or a little higher.. not on your upper back, where it'd be horribly akward to carry at.
