Title: Lspak.dll

Oh my god I hate this stupid file.   Apparently there's some sort of tojan attached to it floating around the internet now.  Not only is it super annoying (causes popups), it is suprisingly hard to remove.  Some people with this have reported loss of internet connectivity.  Ad-Aware, Spyware S&D, even HiJackThis--none of them would remove it.  Safe Mode will not let you remove it.   I had to resort to an obscure Winsock repair pogram called "LSP-fix" to get rid of that frikking adware crap--a role for which the program was never intended.

LSP-fix (http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm)

I've noticed in my browsing that most spyware/malware/adware seems to install itself from shopping- and music-related web sites.  Hence....when my wife touches my computer, I usually find it infected with half a dozen different types of that crap.   I never check her PC but I bet it's awful.  Mine definately runs faster (they're identical physically), which is why she occasionally uses it in the first place.

I'm the kind of guy who is willing to browse the registry entry-by-entry to find and remove stuff I don't want.

HTC's web site is an excellent "reference page" because it doesn't use popups and loads fast.

I would not recommend using that utility if you aren't sure what it does (hence why I didn't give detailed instructions).  Using it incorrectly can mess up your PC worse than the adware does.
