I'm new to Aces High and know nothing about the game and have many questions.
Such as are there Historical based events?
Historical Areas with players in them?
Key Commands that are not listed in set-up?
A way to call check six for friendly player?
Better Graphics Settings or Version(I got a really good 256mb vid card and I think my Palm could run the graphics I've seen thus far)?
I have not been able to figure out how to switch sides in the "Main Arena" and cannot figure out what "Bishops, Knights and Rooks" mean besides the Ches reference. Also are any of the two Allied with each other?
I have many more questions that I could list but it would take a while. Is there any player liasons who help new players?
Thanks

Such as are there Historical based events?
-Most definitely. The CM (Campaign Manager) team has a slew of special events such as Squad Operations, snapshots (single frame recreations), and large scenerios spanning several weeks. Once a month a KOTH (King of the Hill) is hosted. Thats basically a large rumble, last one flying wins in hte end. All of these events take place in the Special Events Arena.
Check out http://events.hitechcreations.com and the Calendar button at the top/right of portion of the forum.
-In the Main Arena "the war" is fought by three main countries: Bishops, Knights, and Rooks. They represent individual (equal) countries. None are allied 'officially' and none have any obvious advantages over the others. (Don't get caught in the hamster wheel! :D). In the text buffer (radio), type: " .country # " without quotes. 1 for Bishops, 2 for knights, and 3 for Rooks. Keep in mind there is a 6 hour delay after switching, to switch again.
-A great place to find any gameplay or startup questions would be the help file found here: http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH2HELP.EXE
-Aces High also has a core of excellent trainers that can schedule 1 on 1 training sessions. Ask for one in the Help and Training section of the forum. OR, just pop into the TA (Training Arena) - they're often in there helping the new crop.

Yes, there are historical events. Check the special events forum.
Only thing you can do to change the graphics is move the sliders all the way to the right.
To change countries, Press esc to bring up the clipboard, click O'club, and change countries. Or the easier way is to type in .country ( 1 2 or 3) 1 = Bishops 2 knights 3 = rooks
Be sure you include the period.
Checksix call to friendlies is by default the ' key. That sends a checksix call to whomever is in the center most point of your screen.
A little fun trick to do to send a checksix call to anyone, anyone that is in your country. Send a private message to whoever. And type to them Checksix XXXXX
:)
-Edit- Dangit, octardius beat me to it. -Edit-

hehe, i r kwik.
One more thing: It's your account, your $14.95; don't let anyone dictate how, what, when, or where to fly. Do what you want so long as you can find enjoyment.

Rook, bish and knit are the three "nations" you can play for, and they are not allied with eachother.

increase the resolution to whatever your monitor supports and your puter can handle.
