Filth, your raid on A8 and A27 was a blast tonite! Nothing like 60 Lancs with an escort of 10 Mustangs to depress the enemy :). Here is a pic and a short film of me peeling a 109 off a formation of Lancs in a high-speed pass. Sorry, I was listening to Tony Bennett at the time, he calms my nerves ;).

Nice job on the 109! The music makes it seem so "La tee dah"..like just another day at the office for ya! :)

The accuracy of the bomber pilots was awesome. We all had assigned targets at A8 and A27. Flattened Fhs and Vhs both bases and hit A8 town too. Then followed up a mass Mossie raid to A8, and found a CV too, finished A8 town and captured it. Stang and his escort lads were fantastic! Wish I had time to get screenies, but was afraid it would lag and boot me. WTG Rooks! Thanks Odd for getting it rolling!

That was probably the most fun I've had in the MA in a long time winging with you guys.

Flossy it wasnt planned. I ran into Oddball and said.."Whoctha duin?" We just threw a mission together, and the next thing we know theres 40 people in it. I think some folks just wanted a big mission to go on. Was alot of fun sorry you missed it.

Yo FiLtH...if you DO have an advanced planned mission,
shoot me an email. ( use pstrogen at cris ...[AH] in subject )
Also, are you planning on flying Rangoon '42??
I've got the Allied Scout/Bomber GL spot with
9 Boston III's. I could use a few good "DoK scenario
tested" pilots :)

Flossy, was kinda impromptu, not really an RJO thing, although we are ready to crank those back up, keep an eye on your mailbox :).
Pyro, check your e-mail ;).
6Gun, lemme know if you are still having trouble and I can e-mail it to you, nothing to write home about tho :).
Krusty, it was a LONG trip and we had just started. I had plenty of E on him and wasn't about to drop tanks for that bounce ;).
Gypsy Baron, hiya Bud :).

I missed the bomber run, but jumped in the Mossie run, what a hoot ! Thanks for making the Mossie Mission Filth.
Mossie is my favorite plane (MOSQ was AW plane icon for the Mossie).
Pyro I have film of the 20+ Mossie raid if you'd like it.

AAR from the Receiving End
Been on the receiving end, as our squad was in Bishland and didn't return home yet.
It was an awesome mission, and the best organized one I've not seen since a long time. The buffs really knew what they were doing, unlike the bunch of bloody fools doing deck runs. An unstoppable march of Lancasters spanning more than three of our fields, destroying everything in its path.
Also, the promptly destructions of radar facilities prior to the strikes made me sure that these guys knew what they were doing. For a very long time the few of us interested in intercepting were baffled by its movement.
At first we expected the usual, sloppy type of buff missions. The usual "overkill" where all the buffs just hit the nearest target and miss everything there. However, it soon became apparent that there were more targets these Lancs were after, and every field they passed by the killed the FHs.
They were well escorted, and it soon turned out that the usual approach of just upping a plane at a nearby field and scurrying to the buffs had no effect. To stop them in time, people had to organize an intercept, rally at some point and hit the formation en masse. Ofcourse, with the usual level of MA disorganization this cooperation never took place. It proved that the buffs were survivable, worth the time taken, and very destructive - as long as people were organized, and knew what they were doing.
Big salute to the Rooks.
ps) looks like MA numbers are evening out, and Rooks are back on track. Seems our squad would be soon returning home.

I am a BISH so unfortunatly for me i was on the recieving end of the 60 Lancs as well as the Moss Run.
I shot me down about 10 Mosses and Lancs though so that was a plus but i watched you guys dwindle down our bases.
Good planning guys i wish us Bish can organize like that to capture some fields
