get FRAPS 2.x and you are set to run at 1024 X 768,

Fraps is a "sort of frame grabber" on steroids it will allow you to capture the output from screen too an AVI format from there you can use a number of software applications to rework the file and add sound etc... MS moviemaker works very well & it's easy to use.

thanks! i got it and worked it out.

one other problem: When i make a film in movie maker, if the overall file size gets over about 40 MB, the film vier crashes and does not respond almost instantly. i cannot save the files to my HD and i cannot even watch them in the movie maker.

anyone else have this problem?

is there a maximum file size for a movie?

thanks
