Imagine that, a candidate who held actual jobs? (http://badnarik.org/badnarik.php)
-
I'll probably vote for him. But he really shoulda changed his name to something more McWaspish.
-
I contributed to his campaign, but I'm afraid I can't vote for him because of the thin margin between Bush & Kerry. I'd REALLY like to, though.
-
That's the defeatist attitude that Kerry and Bush are banking on. This is what the two party system has done to the national psyche, the elephant teathered with twine. Have some courage, don't be a sheep. Vote for guy who you actually want to be president. That's how the system is supposed to work.
Imagine if all the voters who have the same sentiment as you really did "throw their vote away" on a third party candidate. That might even be enough votes to win, nevermind making the party stronger for 08.
In my opinion if I voted for Bush or Kerry I really would be throwing my vote away.

You live in California. You could vote for anyone and Kerry is still going to take the state.

Hmmm... the one thing that gives pause is the notion that the U.S. should return to a gold standard.
I'm not so certain that this is a good idea.

He has a chance to be a spoiler in Arizona and maybe New Mexico.

There is some dirt on this candidate also. Here it is: http://www.libertyunbound.com/archive/2004_08/bradford-dark_horse.html (http://www.libertyunbound.com/archive/2004_08/bradford-dark_horse.html)
Badnarik believes that the federal income tax has no legal authority and that people are justified in refusing to file a tax return until such time as the IRS provides them with an explanation of its authority to collect the tax. He hadn't filed income tax returns for several years. He moved from California to Texas because of Texas' more liberal gun laws, but he refused to obtain a Texas driver's license because the state requires drivers to provide their fingerprints and Social Security numbers. He has been ticketed several times for driving without a license; sometimes he has gotten off for various technical legal reasons, but on three occasions he has been convicted and paid a fine. He also refused to use postal ZIP codes, seeing them as "federal territories."
Sounds pretty biased, but hey we get dirt on all the other candidates, might as well get some on this one...

I have a strong Libertarian streak, but the party itself seems to lean a bit too far towards the unabomber crowd. Too bad the old Republican party went out of vogue in the early 1990s -- I'd probably be a Republican today.

That's "dirt"? Sounds more like civil disobedience of federal tyranny to me.

Inside every liberal is a unconscious conservative with a big bump on his head, blindfolded and with his hands tied behind his back.......
Someday.....the sleeper will awaken.
-
I heard him speak sometime, not an official public address or anything. I got the impression of "You all are normal people, I am better than you" after listening to him.

I would've rather seen Nolan get the nomination.
