heads up on the latest version.
problems i experianced after downloading latest version today.
slow loading of web pages, and bringing up files.
current adapter does not support t/c aces high or something to the effect
default textures were 128, with the older version it always defualted to 512.
tinkered with it for about an hour before i rolled my drivers back, then it worked again.
i wrote ati customer support, waiting on answer.
question?
by rolling back my drivers, did i roll back to the last version before todays or the version that originaly came with the video card?

Ditto with ATI's newest drivers. Doesn't seem to like my DX9.0C as well as the earlier version.
Using a Radeon 9600XT
With the new ATI drivers, I get desktop stutters. If I right click on the desktop or open the start menu, it lags.
Switched back to Omega drivers, no more problems. So, it has to do with the newer ATI drivers.

Try omega drivers latest, they work great and don't use a .net enabled control panel!

Yeah, been using those. Switched to ATI after Omega released some drivers I didn't like. Back to omega now though.
Do you think the .net enabled thingy caused my screen stutters?

anyone have a web site for them?

well ive never liked the DNA drivers , but i tryed them the last few days , in my testing they seem to perform above all other ati cat's and the omega drivers i have tested ... for what its worth ive tested every cat from 3.9 to 4.9's and the latest two from omega. Ive not had a ton of experience with the dna drivers but so far so good , you can get them at http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=24

It's the .NET based control panel. A taste of Longhorn, albeit a bit early. If you use the standard ATI control panel, you should be fine.
NVidia's next major driver release will also have a .NET control panel as well. At least that is what they have said so far.

well i finnaly realized that i could go back to ati and download previous versions so i think i finnaly fixed it.

Skuzzy - Whats your opinion on the new "AI" feature in omegas latest ATI drivers?
Trying them out with AI set to high, graphics seem better, smoother, clearer and virtually no stutters.

It has been in ATI's drivers for some time. It was just never exposed before. I never have really paid any attention to it.

Im running my 9600XT on latest omega drivers and Im very happy with them.
