I have a feeling the 24 will be my main plane.  Try it before you stay with that 26 greyghost. :)

Can't wait for the B24. Gigantic target with less field of vision for gunners. Polishing up the 190A8 as we speak :D

Hehe Rafe, you're on! :)

JB, I will look forward to that A8 with my extra .50 cal and smaller target.   The 24 has a thinner structure to it than the 17.

its reassuring to know that someone else in this game has discovered that the A8 is the ultimate interceptor.  Sometimes I think I am the only one.

Like they wouldnt use a Luftwaffe bomber the same way..

There are those who divebomb in heavies, for no reason I can think of.  Then, there are those who enjoy climbing out, riding to a target, calibrating, and watching exactly what you wanted to hit go up in flames.  There are some things that you can't control, and unfortunately (as for now anyways) this is one of them.

I use the Ju88 exclusively as a Dive Bomber.

Thats what its Dive Brakes are for...

I meant a new one, such as the HE-111.

seems that way, dive bombing a heavy is about as easy as dive bombing a p47, just 2 of the heavies carry more ord.

Bleh, no need in typing more.  I just don't think theres any way to bomb in a heavy than a level bomb run.  Thats just IMO.

Yeah, maybe, but I'm more accurate with the bombsight from 12,000ft than I am stoop bombing with the Mossie from 750ft.  My accuracy from 20,000+ft is not at all bad either.

Same as I.  I can divebomb, but not great at all.  I have a much higher chance to hit a target from 12,000 feet level than going down at 1000 feet.

The Germans didn't make anything BUT divebombers, He-111 was a divebomber as well. Even their "heavy" bombers were designed as divebombers as well. That's why they suxd. You can't dive bomb large planes like that.

JB42,

I'm pretty sure that the He111H and Do17 were not dive bombers.  They, and the Fw200, were originally airliners and were never built to divebomb.  The Ju88 was designed to do so from the get go.

Just look at the Heinkel's bomb racks, no way that bird was
able to dive bomb.
