To explain a bit the mother of a Tunisian friend said I'm so skinny (1.86m,86kg) I should be sick
So as she knew I love her pastry she prepared me 2.5 KG of baklawa ,zlabia etc ...

I've ate about 1kg I feel a bit nauseus ... but it was extremly good !

fortunatly the Ramadan start friday so I'll have a lot more pastry to eat during the  month :D

Mmmmmm....

I think i'll make some Kibbi tonight with a side of Tabouleh, Of course I don't have the stomach my Great Grandfater had, he ate his kibbi raw.

If you've never ate Middle Eastern food, Lebanese to be specific :D, you dont know what your missing.

http://www.lebaneseproducts.com/recipe/main.htm

Although, Theres a few things I won't eat.

http://www.lebaneseproducts.com/recipe/nikhaat.htm

This is what I cooked tonight.

http://www.lebaneseproducts.com/recipe/kibisanieh.htm

My Cousin, married a full blooded lebanese woman and her idea of good lebanese quisine differed greatly, When he told her about our family and thier dishes his great grandfather cooked for his 4 sons and they cooked to thier family and the dishes we still cook today. She said, what we eat was what the peasants ate in our native country of Lebanon.

It kind of put in perspective of what almost every American's  Ancestors, looked across the ocean and saw how great the United States was and how they yearned to be a part of it.

Sorry for the American Dream Rant, but as I dine on my dish (Which my G/F won't touch BTW :D) and knock back a few cold ones, I feel it needed to be said. ;)

I'm a mézé addict I can let pass a month without Lebanese food.
I'm in love with the Tabouleh even being a strong meat eater :)
