Fellow Warriors….
I have closed my AH account. Since I am no longer a paying customer, my reasons are irrelevant. I offer no explanation.
I would like to thank all those that I have flown online with / against over the past 11+ years. It was a wild ride and a real hoot! Good luck to one and all.

Strange, I had a conversation with Cobra412 later that night and he was contemplating unsubscribing too. I unsubscribed last night too.
I'm going to check out Pacific Fighters, the MA is a tragedy now. TOD might be good though, going to hang around for that.

WU's doing fine, he just doesn't have the time to fly like old Soup does. :D Damn boss I'm gonna miss ya, the Geschwader dwindles and dwindles... :(

Sad day indeed. SOUP taught me the FW waaay back in the old AW days. I remember when I was a newbie and accidently fragged him ... I never admitted to it but I think he knew it was me and let me slide ;). Salute my friend, I hope to see you again soon!

Shane... I think AW3 came on around 1996 didn't it? A bit longer than 5 years.... You're getting old dude.... WU is fine.. lives in his own crib ... boy is 23 years old now... hard to believe....
Ran into us.. that wasn't ah.. when you were flying your F6 and WU and I were in 109Ks... and you ah.... "got lucky" ? Against BOTH of us at the same time...
Dawg.... Getting fragged by you... shoot almost an honor if that happened now. Remember the friendly competition for squad honors tween the Nighters and the JGers... Return... Never say Never... but I don't really envision it with the current game play ... I'll keep checking in on the board just to see how everyone is doing.
TC... Had some great ones we did.... back when that was the whole point...

Its sad to see this post, even If I havent gotten to wing with you as much as Id like, its always fun.

If my Travels get me down in your neck of the woods, Ill be sure to look you up (beware BH is roaming the country side these days in a semi).
I know all the CAF will take this as a blow, You are and always shall be an honored CAF. (remember we wont let you quit) ;)

The Rooks are losing a good man.I have many fond memories from AW,and now AH,altho the AW memories are fondest because we had a tighter bunch of gents there.You skippered a great bunch with the 27th.
I wish you the best,and I hope they are able to get AH2 gameplay improved,so that you can return someday.

It's a CAF reunion I'll drop by the OPS shack from time to time. I mean if BH can drop in... and he is on the road all the time... I should be able to squeeze in once in awhile.

Oh yeah, month in and month out for a long time Mares #1 and JG27 #2 or visa versa in the FR Arena. Actually, it was usually visa versa ;). It was fun the times we pulled in front tho :).
I remember how we would salute you guys when you landed those 5-figure hops, then grumble to ourselves on private chat that we had to get busy! All in good fun tho, and it made both squads better.
Lots of good memories in these Sims over the years ... and I'm sure a lot more in the future, I'll be look'n for ya ;).

Sergeant Major, I'm gonna miss seeing your type in the buffer. The Main Arena is lesser with your leaving. You may be moving on, but JG27 will continue to be a cornerstone of AH.

I recently unsubscribed for non-game reasons...last night, I saw a show on the History Channel about P-51's. I couldn't handle the air combat withdrawals, anymore. Re-subscribed again today.
Was the toughest (yet, most productive) week of my life. lol.

I can understand... I mean I had a 7 month break when I moved to Germany with the Army back in '96. I missed the community... but it is also (on-line gaming) habit forming. Once one develops other habits it isn't the draw it once was. More so if the product isn't as interesting. Good luck with your return.
Mr. Foot... I stand guilty as charged... (but I also flew the FWs alot too ! ) Retired are you? Have you tried IL2? I just picked it up for about $25. Loaded it and just watched the training video. Pretty nice. I might dink with it a bit off-line ... kind of like a nicotine patch ;) Ween myself off flying slowly. :lol

I too am sorry to see you go, yet I am not surprised. It has been a blast fighting with you and against you (back when we all had to switch sides to even things out). Things are very different now amongst this community, and this game.
Still, I have great memories and you figure prominently in them.
