Title: Flight Video
Post by: Waffle on October 14, 2004, 06:10:14 PM
Was just looking for actual flight video taken from the interior of aircraft. If you have audio - all the better. If they are ww2 era planes, much much better!

I did see the video that SteveO did from the b17 and think that that's great! Anyone else have any footage like that?
Maybe a ride in a B24 you captured on video? :)

Heres a great website with a bunch of WWII (mainly P-51Ds) planes.  Ill link you to the one taken with a helmet cam.  Sorry, but its got background music and the engine is muted out.

But, it still is good to look at! :)

Yeah, I've seen that video - good stuff.  Hate it when they put music over it...lol wonder if they have the stock footage or if there was ever any audio?

Waffle,

Email me and I'll get you copies of the CAF videos for the last couple of years. Much of them is air-to-air, many taxi and startup shots, too.

I can't remember all the aircraft, but I think P-51, F6F, F8F, TBM, I-16, P-40, FM-2, B-25, SBD, SB2C... I don't remember bombers...mmm, possibly P-47 and P-39...

2002 is on video, 2003 is DVD and 2004 will be DVD and available in a few months.

Hope to see you at Wings Over Houston... leaving in the morning..zero-dark-thirty, so I won't see your reply until Tuesday.
