Pyro,
I would like to see  another variant of the F6F series particulary the F6f-3 model

and the D520, Yak 3,  N1K1, P38J, bf109K4, Ki-43 and the P39  as far as fighter planes go

we also need a  German  Hvy/medium bomber and maybe another Japanese or European Bomber

Sudz congratz on the job and on being able to work at that you enjoy.

Ladies and Gents this looks very very positive. Bringing in new talent and Pyro speaking a bit more about the real work load......................and talking about the future......................a nd talking about helping players with lesser video systems by offering a solution..................... .....and 1 week instead of the 2 week....................me thinks patience is a lost virtue and we owe Pryo and the whole crew a BIG VOTE OF CONFIDENCE.................:aok :aok :aok :aok :aok :aok :aok :

This is like the time I was sitting in a creek in California whining that I couldnt find any gold. Then I stood up and I'd been sitting on a nugget the whole time.

Aces High is worth the wait....................:D

Next time you go prospecting remember to stick a roll of Charmin in your backpack. There`s usualy always some trees to squat behind on them creek banks.

We’re still working hard on getting 2.01 completed. We hope to have it finished up in another week. With Natedog and Superfly getting close to completion on their projects, we need to think about what planes/vehicles we’ll be doing next. We’re still undecided at this point.

How about the Brewster (please, model 239?), thank you. :)

Oh, 2.01 "finished up in another week"! Cool, thank you very much! :)

Ok, I know this is not what you meant but at least I'm sad to see this...

From SimHQ:

"In the first year of the original IL-2 run %20 of the users were using
pirated copy of the game. Mostly in China and Russia. Percentage of illegal
users on the West was negligible. Profit was enough to justify frequent free
add-ons and even development of FB.

But now (with FB+AEP) about %60 of users worldwide are using pirated version
of the game.

Oleg's company is on the edge. At the moment development expenses exceed
profit. Profit from FB + AEP (especially) is less then from original IL-2.
Profit does not even cover salaries of the developers.

Hope is that PF is going to change it, but it is only hope.

If piracy continues with PF - don't wait for "the future project" (BoB)."

I'm definately buying PF it looks to awsome to let that one go.  I just hope it is more user friendly than the others.  lol.

I was making more of a joke that someday AH will have such amazing graphics, great water, fantastic sky, rolling carriers etc.

Breaking Sudz balls already lol.

Congrats on the new job Sudz. When i sign up again we need to have a serious debate about the new planes. (with debate I mean that I talk and you listen and comply)

P.S. If you cant wait that long, the list is below the line there.... see?

Thanks for the news Pyro.

Welcome Sudz.  Looking forward to seeing your work.

I'd like to see a P-38F or other mid-war P-38.

A M4A3 Sherman would be nice too.

Panzzer,

That really bites.  I've picked up each of the Il-2 series so far and I'll pick up PF.  I don't play them that much and think there are some big mistakes in them, but I want to support this hobby.  I'm sorry to see that piracy is hitting that hard.  It's complete BS that people do that.

Thanks all, I'm hyped to be here.  HiTech and I have the same coding styles and philosophy (although I tend to spell the variable names right :) ) so I expect to up and running in no time.

Look for my contributions on the release after 2.01 - I hope not to disappoint.

Sometimes its good to go through the code before you ship it of to a client... almost gave my self a heart attack once when I fond the following typo in my code...

int counter = 0; but without the "o"... damn profinity filters.. ;)

Yes!  New talent to add his own flavor to the game, I hope.  You're working for a great little company, Sudz.  :aok

---------

New plane?
How about a Bristol Blenheim?
Or, of course, this game STILL needs an A-26 Invader.  :D

Ah, well.  At EA I was working on Lord of the Rings:Battle for Middle Earth, scheduled to come out before XMas.  I would probably still be there if EA understood the concept of "personal time", or, as I like to call it, "freedom".  When I left EA the mandatory schedule was 9-9, 6 days a week.

As to what I'm up to now, I'm helping to take advantage of HT's groundwork in AH2 and working with Dale to improve the graphics.  Specifically pixel shaders.  I hope you'll notice the improvements coming down the pipe each and every update.

But Sling - Nate has all my brew equipment and you have my Hellfire recipe.  Now I'll sit back and wait for the brew :)

Ahhh....but nobody can quite master the Hellfire like yourself sir.  Nate and I tried but we were not successful.  Head on over to the Homebrew HQ and pick up some new equipment.  You should join the North TX Homebrewers Association just for the discount at the shop.  You pay for your membership with a couple of trips for supplies.  :)
