Many things could cause this.  I would first look at heat as a potential source.

Power supply also could cause it.

Corrupt installation of software would be a prime candidate (multiple installs of video card drivers without removing previous version first is a good one).  Some software installed which has replaced a system file or DLL.

Possibly some corruption within the Aces High installation.  Remove the 'cache' folder first.  Next, rename the 'settings' folder and start from scratch.

Email me the DXDIAG output too.

Remote troubleshooting of something like this is very difficult to do.  The simple installation of another application can cause it, or the order in which software is installed can cause it.  The variables are endless.

If you sent it, and did not hear back within 24 hours (weekdays), then I did not get it.  My email is automatically scrubbed if the email contains a virus.  Make sure you do not have any.

I had a similar problem not long ago 101. Any time I was playing games and lots of things were happening on the screen the games would crash, sometimes my comp would restart. It ended up being the motherboard. The capacitors on the mb (2/3 of them) were bulged on the tops, some were even leaking a reddish-brown substance. So dont rule out any hardware issues either. Good Luck on this.

i had one pc that was discoing me because of sound drivers .

and my newest one was having powersupply problems ..

I worked on one over the weekend that was crashing out because of a bad ram stick . (it was wierd it didnt show bad ram at boot up memory test ,, but after i ran Fix-it utilities stress test on it . it failed ... then started showing up during boot up .)
