Wow you're getting good thebest1! Looks great!
I think only the upper left wing would carry the US insignia, and you could probably make it a bit larger. Maybe somebody can throw up a planform scan to help you.
-
Very nice indeed. Here is a die cast model on it.

Looks great thebest !!
Suggestion. It looks like you dropped the transparancy of the insignias. With the checkertail being the same color yellow you notice the difference between the two.
An alternative to that is to always leave the transparancy at 100 for paint, insignias and numbers. Desaturate a little to take the "edge" off it instead. Or weather over the top and fiddle.
Great stuff !! Have a big P40 stable forming up :)
...also a good checkertail group being put together..
Where is the Col. Stream dude ?? :D

I was looking for a "faded" look on the insignia on the fuselage. But what do u mean by "Desaturating?"
:) thanks for the good reviews

I will look and see if I can get any references to it. I have a bunch of guys with 325th info, might be able to get a b&w of it.

Looks really good, Best.
One thing... the side insignia and the 40 need to move forward a bit... compare the position of the 40 under the window in the profile you posted.

Well I better step up and offer my services here. Would Capt Arthur Fiedler's plane be OK? It was pretty close to the 52nd FG P-51C I did earlier:

Hmm looks like that "35" needs a little skinnifying.
-
Oboe,
We talk to the pilot that flew that plane.... If you want the story behind that picture... I can post it. That was Art's second kill.
-
Really? Outstanding! I would be interested in reading that story - the name of the Stoke's painting is "Pistol Whipping" and its background narrative was almost unbelieveable.
If you know the pilot, do you think he would mind having his plane modelled in the game?
