Can be G-over effect be modeled in AH?
If game is balancing realism/game play this effect can add some value to AH.
G-over in my understanding is a part of damage model, which cause breaking off some surfaces (wings) with damage after hard G turns. So if you ping opponent wings, he can’t perform hard manures, otherwise he will loose wing.
It is modeled in some online simulators and it adds fun and realism to them.
It is my opinion. Discussion can be good, flame will not be good .

Heck, I have enough trouble keeping all the crucial parts on my plane when a buff gunner even looks at me, let alone making my plane more fragile!! ;)
However if you do this, then you will need to account for the construction of the plane (i.e F4F built more sturdy than an A6M)and model that in as well.

in the good old days of ah bit of plane broke with regularity, flaps. elevators and whole wings. alas ah is a little more arcadish and these things dont seem to happen anymore.

That is what I was trying to say.
G-over can shift AH to realism a little bit, not destroying gameplay.

Hmmm...
You know.. Didn't HT's other sim used to have wings and that snap off in hard turns? I seem to remember that it was a great thing. You had to be really careful, it was fun to ride the edge, you were always thinking.. can I go a little bit more and hold it together.... And the hard turners would lose wings really fast. It made it a LOT more realistic. It was way cool... ANd if you got hit on your wing, you couldn't be sure how much you could pull and still keep it together. Made for cool situations.
Am I remembering this right? If I am, I'm all for it. I loved trying to turn and risk snapping a wing for just a little more separation and pulling it off.

Yeap! I remember that feeling in WB. Long duel, some pings in opponent, vertical looping. Opponent is at top of loop, you at bottom and suddenly you see - opponent loose half of wing, trying to make hard turn. Yessss!!!!! :D :D :D Your pings in he's wings didn't disappear, they works!!!!!!!!!
