I'm down to 13 hours this tour, compared to about 90 this time last year.
-
About 3 hours so far this camp, 8 1/2 hours last camp, and 4 hours the camp before. What makes it fun, is when I do get a couple of hours for flying, I log on to find I can't fly the plane I usually fly (eny junk). Its caused me to stop squad flying, and just hop countries.
-
close to 30 hours this month, probably.
closer to 100 hours on this bbs though.
-
Maybe they should start charging hourly for BBS access and make the game available for free.
-
Well so far I have 2 hours online this tour.
Probably over 100 hours doin skins..
:D
-
1:03:03 MA
3:41:14 CT
---------------
4 hours 44 minutes 17 seconds total
compared to last year: -
63:31:41 MA
12:27:08 CT
-------------
75 hours 58 minutes 49 seconds total
-
Maybe a new advertising campaign for the game will increase your flight times? ROFL-

I just have no motivation to play AH and am busy at work.
Typical is this...
1) Log onto Aces High
2) Look at arena's and see CT is empty.
3) Log off.
The CT is the only place to find people that are actually willing to fight these days, not some tard too scared of ruining his precious k/d ratio or score so stays 2,000 feet higher/200mph faster than everyone else.
I wonder what would happen to gameplay if HT removed score for a few months.
-
Haven't played much at all, waiting for the news forum to lightup with the 2.01 patch ready to dl.
I'll nominate 68balls for the pasty skin award though, that guy is on anytime of the day I jump on for a sortie or two.
-
he has 154 hours so far. i wonder if he is skatter?

Probable be alot better....Score and Rank mean squat, so to me there is no reason to have it. As far as commanding the CV just make it instead of top Ranked guy gets priority, make top guy in hours online have the priority.

Wow, 154? Sheesh, with 12 days to go, he's on track to do 250 hours.
go man go!
-
We gotta get our squad back up to speed, got down to about 3 or 4 regulars on line usually, built back up to a steady 4 to 6 , need to bump that back up to 9,10 range. Also, we're fairly spread out form East coast to West coast, so it's sort of a rolling roster online.
I tend to fly longer when the squad's on, I think.
With all the SoCal rain this week, I'll probably log some good hours this week.
-
Last year I played a good 90-100 hours in one tour this month. This year, I think I have yet to break the 5 hour mark....
Only reason: Transition from AH to AH2 - no comraderie anymore along with teamwork.
-
20 hours for me this month so far.
Which is lots for me but considerably less then the hight of my addiction. 75 cents an hour so far..pretty good deal.
-
how do i check?
-
after you select community, select score instead of BBS. Its pretty user friendly.

I have a measly 8 hours this month compared to 137 same time 03. Huh lol.
I like AHII. I like the changes HTC has made. Unfortunately the game play is just plain boring. I find myself doing more flying around than fighting, so I log.
I find the fields are too far apart, so it is not worth flying all that way to be outnumbered. So I have two choices, fly where there are more greens or climb and double my flight time and at least have an alt advantage while being outnumbered.
Once in a while there is a decent furball, but sooner or later some tard has to either kill the hangers, the carrier or take the base. So they don't last that long.
The best time I have had recently, in a while, was last week on OZ. Unfortunately I was only able to fly twice last week and missed most of it. Now we are stuck with the other maps. I was on last night and couldn't find a fight where I didn't have to fly over a sector to get there. Do that five times and I'm bored silly.

It is great idea! Let say one day for a week or one day for a month your score isn't affected at all.
There are so many planes I want to try but I can't afford now. Hurry, F#s, Zero! O-o-o-o, sweat....

Didnt know that someone with alot of time on their hands to play AH = has a clue what they are doing.
-
0 hours to about 70?
AH2 is appealing anymore im sorry to say.
-
1 hour
Not much interest left here.
I have about 30 in WarBirds. Not really sure why I'm hangin' around. Guess I'll have a look at 2.01 but I doubt I'll see anything there either.
Too bad, and "they" are just clueless.
-
My Main Arena hours the last four Septembers have been about 27, 14, 5, and 2. Yeah, I guess you could say that represents some sort of decline in interest.
Color me obtuse, but for whatever reasons I have never liked Main Arena perk points / ride limitations and lack of external view for fighters and ground vehicles.
It was exciting when new aircraft and gv's were frequent events instead of isolated highlights.
I usually check the bulletin board before flying, but the board's prevalent negativity often is a turnoff for continuing on to the game. That's normal because in any feedback measure complaints generally always outnumber compliments by something like a 10 to 1 margin.
Still consider Aces High the greatest game ever. But ... I think most people get bored with anything after awhile no matter how good it is.
-
Very intresting how guys kinda "Boast" about not playing...
-
cooley you could see this as a complaint/whine i guess.
Point being AH2 and the ma have just gone downward in a year. I can't stand divebombing bombers. Also keep in mind FPS. My FPS is in the 1's. 2.01 wont be much of a help either imo, but the intel thing might. Ki84 after 4 weeks hardly any use and B24. will have the same fate as the lancs. Dive bombing. And well ct=****ed until new maps are out.
-
Neg Skull, Just a general remark, that i do find intresting
possibly along the same lines...
as the Women who politely refuses Dessert at Dinner, only to put away a 1/2 gallon of Rocky Road later on.
Or the guy who tells his buddies he quit smoking, and never smokes around them, but has to chain about 3 cigs when they leave
or maybe not,
-
None.
I cancelled my account shortly after ENY limiting started - not because I thought ENY limiting was a bad idea - quite the opposite. It was a necessary step to counteract what MA gameplay had become - the aerial quake formula of walls of P51/LA7 etc.
But I just couldn't stand the thought of spending my leisure time surrounded by so many whining pansies who clearly have NO interest in historical WW2 combat. "Waaah - game unplayable without LA7..." What bollocks.
The gameplay won't get any better - not while folks are preoccupied with new planes (which will never get used) and "skins".
Mak333 - I rarely saw any teamwork to speak of - in AH1 or AH2. I suppose you could call the lemming horde activity "teamwork".

How does warbirds compare to AH?
-
Don't fly nearly as much as I used to. So I guess the ENY thing is working, since it's keeping numbers down. It's actually a pretty clever idea _ people fly here because they enjoy community, so you work to destroy that sense of community _ force people to jump countries and quit squad flying _ and you eliminate the horde because people don't enjoy flying as much and don't log as often. Now if we can just convince them to give HTC there money and not log on at all.... that's the ticket!

I'd really like to get more into the CT, but there're hardly enough on to make it fun. It also feels like a closed clique sometimes. A squaddie and I logged on, being journeymen mid range players. We ended up engaging somebody 2 on 1, cause no one else around. This player was good enough that 2v1 was a fairly even fight, but in the end we got him.
Next thing I know, he complains on common channel and the other 2 online, previously elsehwere on the map, switch to his team. We then have 2 newbs against 3 experienced CT'ers. I said somehting on common, asking for a balancer, but we were left alone. Upped once, died -- and so we logged.
Came back a couple hours later and the 3 guys had captured the entire map jsut for the heck of it.
And this is supposed to be better than the MA?

Who were the three that you are talking about?

Dont remember the callsigns, sorry. Did leave a kinda bitter taste, though. Although I'd tinker with CT before this month, havent been back since.....
-
43:41:10 so far this tour. Last month I logged 91:14:24 compared to 110:21:26 a year ago.
-
I'm on track for @ 100hours, which is about what I did last year, and a bit less than the year before that.
YOU have changed, the gameplay is roughly what it has been for several years.
With growth in skill/experience, your perception of the game has changed, as opposed to the game itself. I can hardly see any diff. at all (with the except. of AH2, and the ENY thing of course) between now, and when I started in '02.
-
I have you all beat 0hrs this months :D

Are people like us really that rare? I just dont't have the time to be on alert at CT in case someone shows up...
I don't think it's a time zone issue either? Why on earth people won't come to the CT?

lol balls! he does hold the highest hours for the lancers thats for sure.
just looked up my hours and even my hours have dwindled from an adverage of 100 +or- a month to like 40 this month so far.
yikes:eek:
im behind the power curve, back to the ma:rofl
-
16 hours this month and about a third of that used by my nephew who is living here while he attends college nearby.
I probably have another 5 or 6 in the TA doing the trainer thing.
I've been very busy recently and AH2 time is the one thing that's expendable.
My regards,
Widewing

53 with a week to go.

I was in the CT a couple weeks ago, and had fun dueling some dude in an A20 with a 190. But kept gettin cherried by some other butt-in-head, but didn't whine or ask for help. Aint been back since, but only cause my squadies "Dirty Fokkers" only operate in the MA for now !

16 minutes!:D
That's......what?......0.266 hours? Whoot!
