Title: French terror threat raised!!
Post by: VWE on October 20, 2004, 04:36:44 PM
API and UPI reported today that the French Government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "run" to "hide". The only two higher levels in France are "surrender" and "collaborate". This may have been precipitated by the recent fire which destroyed one of their White flag factories, thus disabling their Military for the time being.

What is it with French jokes these days? Is it because they didn't step in line like the Poodle or does it go back further then that?

Tres amusant, monsieur.  But ironic considering France's record of detecting and dealing with terrorists.

C'est la vie.

Usually you don't "step in line" when you have your hand in the cookie jar so to speak.

International Joke community? Wouldn't say internationl, at the moment for the US it's France. For us and for years it's been the Aussies, England the Irish and so on, every country is different.

When making jokes of the French being cowards or running away, I tend to think of Verdun and the 550,000 or so of the French army that died there in just one very long battle.

Being the wealthiest, and greatest nation on earth has its pitfalls.  Being on the outside looking in makes one subliminally envious. ;)

Poor people are usually the "biggest". Educated and well payed people usually eat better food, excercise and do in general take better care of their body. Junk food is also cheap food. ;)

HAHAHA! You should see where I work.  Middle class, and upper middle class people. I'd venture to say 80% OBESE.  I look like an Ethiopian compared to my co-workers (and at 6 ft. and 200 lbs, I could stand to lose a couple of pounds)
