No sir. P-40E George Kayser, 8-th squedron, 40-th fighter of the group USAAF 1942 P-40E - That is correct.

Umm I did a search for George Kayser and it's a no go. But what I did find stated it's George Kiser. He flew P-40s out of Darwin with the 8th Fighter Squadron, 49th Fighter Group.
He was credited with 7 Kills and had a large lion on the fuselage. He was better known as the "Kentucky Gentleman". He shot down three birds on 27 April 1942, two G4M Mitsubishis and a Zero.
This seems to fit the exact paint profile your doing now.
-
You can barely make it out, but this pic seems to read "Capt Kiser" ... or if you can read acryllic, that might help. :)

OOOOOOO now i wanna do that one! lol i let u do it though SpadeL cause im nice! lol:rolleyes:
-
Considering the 8th Fighter Squadron, was with the 49th Fighter Group it only made sense it was Kiser :)
49th FG History also mentions that Kiser flew aircraft # 57
The 40th was a Bomber Group first flying B26s and 17s in the Canal Zone, then transitioning to B29s in 43.

Just curious.... I think it looks great.
But why does this plane/squadron not have the US insignias on the wings? Just seems really... olive drab =)

don't forget whos work your using to build that p-40 in the first place.
frankly after seeing this post I am inclined not to release any more templates for others to use until I am finished doing all the skins I have interest in for the particular plane I am working on.
I released the work I did so that others could enjoy it.
but I guess waffle was right about it being better to make people start their own skins from scratch.

Hey fester. You took that all wrong. I meant as soon as i made the skin You would remake it and make it alot better like you did with those other 2. It's not a bad thing- It's a great thing. I'm just saying why waste my time when someone can do it better. That's what i was trying to tell you last night in the MA
