Title: How do you make GV's move???
Post by: richard_rd on October 20, 2004, 11:11:26 PM
I was a AH1 player for about 3 months, and i just finally got new hardware to allow me to play AH2.  I got averthing running ok, and i can fly, but i cannot get the GV's to accelerate.

I start the engine (E), shift into gear (Q) and then apply the slider on my sidewinder stick but the vehicle just sits there and the rpm's don't go up.  The slider on my stick works just fine when i select a plane, i push the slider and the rpm's go up and the plane accelerates.

what changed from AH1 to AH2, why can't i get the GV's moving????

Gv's work the same way as in AH1, but it is different than planes... Push forward on the stick once the gv is in gear.  Throttle controls the engine in boats and planes, but forward and back in gv's.  Once you get up to speed you can relax the pressure on the stick the gv's have a cruise control of sorts that will keep your speed up till you hit a hill or somthing to slow you down.    Hope this helps.
