I am thinking about setting up a vox package for my flying, thinking being that if I can talk to my trainer when I'm up he could tell me what I'm doing wrong as it happens rather than try and type and fly.
1. Is this a good idea or more hassle than it's worth?
2. If it is a good idead what is the software of choice.
Trainers thoughts please.
Thanks

I think vox is an advantage for training, lets you communicate "with both hands on the wheel". (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Roger Wilco is the software of choice here.

I think it is an excellent idea, and if you set up the program popeye suggested, you will easily be able to find any trainer (who is using RW) online. RW has a page that automatically tunes to country or universal. Let's hook up!

SPRKS from the AW Kraits right?
There are a few UKAW refugees here, mostly using RW. It's definately a good idea.
If you need a hand with anything, by all means mail me - I'm still very much a beginner here, but I know the basics. Believe me, this is the ONLY sim to fly. It's just a matter of overcoming the initially steep learning curve.

Get it and be happy. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) (Yeahr, Izzy, I know it was put in there earlier. Go grab a cookie, eh?)
Now... Anyone tried multiple RW sessions online yet? Like... Wingmen on one channel (DELETE key) CO on another channel, (INSERT key), etc. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/eek.gif) Would that be to resource hoggish?

I'm afeared to try it myself. Don't wanna tax my already struggling AMD 453 K6-2. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

Vox is awesome for training.
A lot of new guys are not used to the text radio thingy. So you don't get much response out of them. But if you go on RW they can often express themselves better. Also it's a little more "cozy" for building rapport between trainer and student.
