Title: Need help with preloading to memory.....

In my video setup, only the "Preload textures to memory" box is available, the "Preload to video memory" box is greyed out.  What setting do I have to change in Windows to get this option open again? (Even though it is greyed, it is checked.........does this make a difference?)

Turn down your max texture size.

Unless you have enough video memory (NOT including system memory, just the stuff on the card) to fit all of your textures into (planes, explosions, vehicles, trees, farms, general ground texture, bla bla), then you can't preload into video memory.
