Title: convergence question on patch 11, 2.01
Post by: Jnuk on October 23, 2004, 10:54:29 AM
when you say it is a change in convergence allowed into this patch, does that mean we should expect this to be in 2.01 as well, or something that is specific to this patch?
as i understand it, this is the way it SHOULD actually be, right?

We're still working on finishing up 2.01. That process will take us through the weekend so don't expect anything this week.

Right now, we just uploaded a new patch version for 2.00. This is not mandatory and the auto-updater will not even prompt you about it. The only purpose of this patch is that we wanted to put out the change that does away with the necessity of needing a card that supports hardware T&L before the actual 2.01 release. If you have any friends who couldn't run AH2 because of that issue, you can let them know that this patch should run on their system now.

You can install it if you like, about the only difference you should notice is that there was a change in how convergence works that was allowed into this patch. The only difference is that your bullets will strike above your aimpoint when your target range is less than your convergence setting.

Gun convergence should always work in both the horizonal and vertical.   Its another improvement in AH2.  Makes things a little better with just a tad less below the nose shooting:D
