Title: Anybody got FSO pic's
Post by: doobs on October 23, 2004, 12:43:56 PM
From FSO time of aces.  The 68th flew a real tight formation of Ki's.

It was fun but I just about never fly a bomber. Let alone a level bomber.  Add in the fact it was around midight on friday I was FUI,
so I basically installed 32 brand new inground pools that the local marines can use.   to all that were there

ROFL my drop turned your in ground pools to lakes. I did not hit a darn thing. Marines could, for some leisure activity, stock them with fish.

Easy here is the best part. You know how I luv my f4, well the first time I see it in a senario, I'm flying level bomber. Almost coulnt bring myself to shoot down that f4. And where were you?

ROLF.  Nearly fell out of my chair.

I'll be back soon, though probably not in the MA since I lost interest in the game play.  Well, guess I'll have to poke my head in at least once to see my new B-17 skins.

Those are nice Dux! I don't see any jagged edges like mine. Very smooth as if they are hand drawn. Why is that? What vid card do you use?

DD, it's an ATI 9800. I turn on 2X anti-aliasing whenever I'm going to make screenshots from the film viewer.

I don't normally leave it on for AH; it makes enemy dots much harder to see.

Hey Daddog, what ground Vis range are you normally set to? It looks to me that Dux was set to Med. or Full

I will check Sled. I think about the 1/2 way mark.

I think I need to start looking at a new Vid card. Those pics are REALLY nice. :)

Daddog,

I'm referring to an adjustment that you make in the plane while you are flying. While in the air use Shift-F1, Shift-F2, Shift-F3, and Shift-F4, to select between Short, Med., Full, and Ground Vis. range.  You may have to check your keyboard map to make sure it is programmed that way. I didn’t know about this until about a month ago. I had been flying around on Short vis. range the whole time wondering why I could not see Bandits as soon as my Squad mates also my transitions at the horizon was like yours, very abrupt. I now fly in Med. vis. Range and have Horizon transitions like Dux, plus better range spotting Bandits.

DD, I have loads of photos that you can use, mostly FSO and Scenario stuff. It might be easiest if I mail a CD to you.

You bet DD, Glad I could help.

I mapped three of the buttons ( Short, Med, and Ground Vis. ranges) to my JS (X45) That way I can select between the three depending on the situation. When I am diving on a GV I go to Ground Vis. so I can see him sooner in the dive, then back to Med. Vis. for ACM. If I get into a BIG furball, I'll go to Short Vis. to keep my frame rates up.  You'll notice that the three settings have big impact on your FPS.

Oops, I'm starting to Hijack this thread, better leave it at that.

S! DD we'll se ya in FSO!
