This was my first attempt at a P-51b as well as the bare metal look on a real skin.
P-51B T9-CK, captured by the Luftwaffe and used to train 190 pilots to exploit the 51s disadvantages. Not sure if it ever saw combat with the Luftwaffe or not.

I have a lot of work left to do, such as readjust the rivets, anti-glare panel, and a few more odds and ins.
As always, feedback is very much appreciated!

I will never get used to shots of a/c in the "wrong" markings! It does kindof show some similiarity in layout to the Me 109 which I never really thought about before though.
I think the metal skin could use more contrast between the shades, and less 'blurring" to mix them together - take a look at WWII aviation paintings of natural skin planes, you'll see the distinct bands of light and darker shades. That's just my opinion, though.
on finding such a unique skin! Great work!

Nice artwork.
Nothing personal,,,,but I hope none of these "Captured" plane skins are accepted

I don't plan on submitting it. I was using this one as a practice for bare-metal, and decided to pick a plane that was more than likely not going to be done by someone else with hopes of submitting it.

IIRC, these captured planes were not used in combat, but were flown around to all the front line bases to give the jadgfliegers a chance to see them up close and personal, as well as for testing, demo's etc...
