Just watched and burned 3 copies of "The Deep" for friends that didn't watch it in 7th grade like i did.

Bissett's cans are damn near porn, and it's as good as Jaws.

Saw Stalingrad a couple of months back... good feel to that movie, completly different feel to a war movie when the germans actually speak german...

I would have stayed in that wine cellar in the end... dunno why they left that place..

Depends on what kinda movie you wanna watch.

One comedy that was a sleeper I rented on a whim. liked it so much I rented it again. Then ended up buying it is called

"Just Visiting"

Very funny movie

More recent and more of an action movie is
"The Day After Tomorrow"

Which was a far better movie then I thought it was gonna be

Course ya could always go Classic and just pick up a Couple John Wayne movies.:)

I thought it was crazy that Dennis Quaid was able to make it all the way to New York during a storm that froze that guy from the helicopter in seconds.

They broke down near Philly in that car and walked that whole way in how long?

the effects were good but the story was a "bit much" at times.

I always feel pretty good after watching "Animal House."  It's one of those movies I never recorded so I could look forward to watching it whenever it comes on TV. :D

Les

PS - If you can find it, the uncensored version is even better...the scene with the guy's conscience (devil and angel.)

Buffalo Soldiers was a decent flick, likewise so was Confidence another Anna movie.

Master and Commander (not the O'Reilly version) is a good yarn with surround sound.

I was pretty dissapointed to be honest, thought Eric Bana's Hector was the best part of the film...

You can break movies up into different categories.

1.) Never ever watch.
2.) Only watch if someone has a gun to your head.
3.) Watch once.
4.) Watch two or 3 times.
5.) Rent it everyonce in a while, but don't buy.
6.) Rent it so much till it's almost worth buying it.
7.) Buy something because it's a standard classic.
8.) Buy something.
9.) Buy something and watch it every day.

I'd put Hellboy at a #6.  (I actually just bought it, but put it at #6 for the general population.)  I'd Definately put Van Helsing at #4.  Decent movie, gets old quick and isn't deserving of any awards.

And NO, They made a new The Punisher.  It's not a body count movie either, it's a good action flick with some brains.

Yes, Evil Dead 2 is the best one.  In Evil Dead 2 Ash is at a cabin with his woman, and the Evil Dead show up.  At the end of it he is transported back in time, hence the beginning of Army of Darkness.

I would put Van Helsing up for best picture of the year just because of that Busty brunette in the flick....
