It would come as no surprise to me if it were released this weekend. If not, then Im pretty sure it will be out Monday or Tuesday.

patches have been released on weekends.
those are usually a quick fixit for something needing fixing quickly.

I predict Monday for the release - cuz Tuesday will likely be a very weird day. Not just higher net traffic, but I would also expect a sharp rise in hack attempts to ... uh ... get the word out to vote for one cadidate or the other. So parts of the backbone may flake out.

It is inherently dangerous to do releases either over a weekend or on a Friday. First, people are tired at the end of the week and if a mistake were to happen, that's when it'd be. Then there's the issue of if something does break you may not have everyone you need to fix it there at the office - so you gotta call people from their homes to come into the office - assumnig they aren't travelling. You tech support people are probably not working because, well, its a weekend and they weren't involved in the actual release.

It really is a bigger risk than you realize until you work in the Belly of the Beast.
