Title: Game still crashing for me, getting tired
Post by: Vulcan on October 29, 2004, 07:42:20 PM
of it.

Game just quites to desktop.

Asus A7V333, Athlon 2800XP, Geforce 5700FX, 1Gb RAM, SB Audigy, WinXP SP1, Netscreen 5GT (also tried a USR 9106).

I tried using the onboard sound and had the same problem except that windows wanted to do a bug report, seems with the Audigy it doesn't.

Tried reinstalling clean.

Tried dropping sound accel settings.

Tried the game being the only thing installed.

Getting this || close to unsubbing after all these years.

When you say installing clean, I assume you also manually remove the "Aces High II" folder in C:\Program Files\HTC?

Also make sure you have the latest version of the NVidia drivers.
Make sure you are running the latest VIA drivers too.

You can also try the previous version of Aces High II:  http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH20010OLD.EXE

If you have muliple instances of sound cards installed, this can cause the problem as well.

I know its repeating advice a hundred others have given in recent threads, but did you check the temperature inside the case, at the processor, and on your video card?  The Nvidia software has a temp. monitoring program for the card.

Clean as in wiped the hard drive. The onboard sound is disabled.
