All right, here you go, a simple request:
and in the Southwest Catagory - Vote for Backstage Sound and Lighting, Inc. the second choice in the Southwest area.
If they win, I'll promise to attend next years Con, and bring a bottle or 3 of good scotch! :) A few seconds of you time can result in at least a five minute drink of blue label, or at least a good 4 hour hangover!
thanks!

Voted for the other regions too (according to which name I liked), just to cover tracks / avoid raising suspicions.

hey..so you know sound..what do you recomend for a PA system for Dj-tuntables stuff..
JBLs?
woudl liek to do 2-18s or and...with 2 -15s
what amps are the most reliable...and.....where is the best place to buy them...
How do you feel about used Audio equip?
-
Depends on what you want to spend, and what you size halls you want to cover. If you end up having a few "large" dj shows, you can allow for a PA rental house to provide you stacks and racks (Pa and amps). You might be able to find someone locally and get them to come out cheap ($100-$600) depending on the budget allowed.
There's a company in Texas (i believe they are based in Tx) thats making some mid-level cabinets that would be good for Dj stuff - soundbridge is the name.

The JBL srx series would be fine....
as far as amps, Crown, Qsc...cant go worng.
Used gear is fine if you know what you're buying....
I'm sitting at the house right now programing 24 I-tech amps...lol

for use with a JBL vertec rig http://www.jblpro.com/vertec1/new_vertec/index.html
and then having to write a program for JBL HLAs. http://www.jblpro.com/pages/tour/HLA/hlamain.htm
would've much rather been playing VERSION 2.01!!! TY very much HTC! lol!

Howdy fellow audio geek.
This company name seems familure. Probably ran across these guys at Star Plaza Theater in IN. I've a house audio engineer there for the last 9 years. They've maybe come in with a touring act?
