We are flying the slot you can also go offline and take a snapshot of the map or use that to plan.
You should get the map I sent it to you and I always have problems sending maps and big files to Hotmail accounts.

Axis order where sent out and allied orders i hope went out lsast night from what I gathered. CO must provide the map of his plans.

Swigly you need to get the list straight with who is CO and XO and get it on the Squad ops web page as I use that alot for email addys and numbers. You guys need to keep that up to date.

Squad Ops in a nut shell.
Sqwiggly every month, (3 weeks on and 1 week off) we hold the Friday Squad Operations. To start the Admin CM divides up all the squads. Some of the squads are Allied and some are Axis. Each week the Admin CM sends out the orders to the 2 frame C.O.’s, (1 Allied and 1 Axis). Each week there is an Allied Frame C.O. (he/she makes up the orders for all the Allied squads that week), and an Axis Frame C.O. (he/she makes up the orders for all the Axis squads that week). Some Frame C.O.’s don’t bother with maps, but most do. Some Frame C.O.’s have a lot of detail, others do not. You should get your orders by Wed of every week. Thursday at the latest or the Frame C.O. is not doing their job. After 3 weeks we take a week off, then the Admin CM switches many of the squads, picks a new terrain, new year, new plane set and divides up the squads again. Then we start all over.

I strongly suggest you read this which will help you understand what Squad Ops is about.
http://events.hitechcreations.com/squadops/registeruser_fri.php
and explain the responsibilities of every player and Squad C.O. and X.O.

It is frustrating for us to have squads in Squad Ops that don’t have any idea what is going on. When this happens players don’t follow orders and before you know it squads are not showing up, not attacking the assigned targets, or not defending what they should be. Squads that make those kinds of mistakes (which can be avoided with just a few minutes of time) don't last long in Squad Operations.

well thank you for your help, but fate has been a strong part of friday squad opps for about a year now and although ive been away, squad opps is nothing new to me.
i understand that some use maps and some dont, but when you get your orders the day before the mission and you have no map to plan from, its kind of hard to plan.we had no idea where the bases were because we could not read the map provided.
i dont know whos runnin this show?68?but you may want to consider the fact that the cm by his own addmission"has trouble sending maps"and this is a poor way to plan an event such as this.we got this whole thing together in one day and were ready so dont act like we dont know what were doin.the format is jacked, the squad opps website is also jacked and cannot be veiwed properly.i have looked and have no idea how to change the co and email for our squad but its been the same for 9 months?and has been no problemb so far.so before you tell us we need to learn how to do this you may want to get your own act together.

Sorry sqwiglly. I did not mean to offend you but look at this thread. I really thought you were part of a new squad that had no idea what was going on.

1st – Your first post in this thread was your first post on the
AH BB. Looks newbie to me.
2nd – You don’t have a sig. No squad affiliation in your posts. I had no idea you were with the Fate squad till you said you were.
3rd – Your posting in an “Axis” thread complaining you don’t have a map, yet your in an Allied squad. Shouldn’t you be asking your Frame C.O. on the Allied side?

I don’t know what else you would expect me to think. It would look newbie to me and anyone else. Your call sign is very familiar to me, but I figured it was a different sqwiglly. Nevertheless I apologize for offending.

As for the Squad Ops side being jacked, the format being jacked and so forth. If you have had problems for months how come you have not e-mailed anyone about it? We would be glad to help.

Clarifications.

Seems that 68KO did send the orders out on time, but the e-mail handler that damnname is using didnt receive them until Wed. night, and then, during the wee hours, it was discovered the word document containing the map wouldn't open on damnname's computer.

At least, that's how I understand it to have happened.

One of those unfortunate series of events.

About the only way to truly address this is to ensure that those who are slated up front as side COs start asking where the orders are first thing Monday and then the CM start asking for confirmation the orders were received.

Responsibilities on both sides.. which only takes a few seconds of e-mail effort ( or forum reply ) to resolve.

In any  case, as of now the teams are appearing and I haven't crashed the arena yet.  Life is good.
