Got home, downloaded 2.01 flew around a bit, and now on my screen is the B-24 skin.
Time to get to work!
Also, does anyone have that old image used to find out where parts were mapped on the plane. Im unsure of where a few things on the skin are mapped.
Thanks!

One minor disappointment is that the anti-glare panal on the nose is black instead of OD.
I hope it's possible to find out where that black is coming from so that any OD/Gray camo schemes won't have to be stuck with the black anti-glare panal that wouldn't have been there.
And it would be nice to get it the correct color for the silver birds as well.

The black anti-glare panel is part of the skin. So far everything I have seen on the plane is in the skin. No mirroring as of yet. :D

You can use this one, United.
Save it as a BMP first.

I need to make a 1024 version soon. :)

search for panel finder - I used to have it but kicked it out...lol

Wow, this one is gonna take weeks on end!
Lots of details to look at. I've also gotten a lot of ideas and things looking at this skin. Redoing the bare metal is going to be a blast!
I've decided to actually time myself for this skin to see just how much time I really do spend working on this stuff.
So far, 2 hours give or take a few minutes. I've gotten about half of the panel lines done. :D

I had to try it just for fun. Not sure how to get the nose art to be clearer.

Ahh, welcome to skinning Guppy. Its about time you got started. Don't worry, you'll get addicted and never stop, or you'll throw it out in frustration as I have several times. :D
It looks very good actually, but the Jpeg doesnt do much justice.
The noseart looks as if you resized a small image to make it bigger?
I've found that if I do something like that, I take it and paste it into PSP or whatever you use, edit it, and then resize it to what I need it at and then paste as a new layer into the bitmap.

Actually created the nose art in Illustrator, exported to Photoshop and then shrunk it down to fit.
I'll figure it out. Gotta have a 454th BG bird :)

Hehe. Fiddle around, you'll be surprised how much you learn just by playing with different things, and by making mistakes. Most of the "mistakes" I make turn out to be pretty neat looking.

Guppy, size it in Illustrator, so that you don't have to in PhotoShop... the less you mess with pixels, the better off you are.

Here's a bigger skinfinder for those who want one.
