Bush Wins Vote in Tiny N.Hampshire Hamlet

DIXVILLE NOTCH, N.H. (Reuters) - President Bush scored a symbolic victory on Tuesday, capturing the first Election Day votes in a tiny New Hampshire hamlet whose residents traditionally cast the first ballots in the U.S. presidential race.
Voters in Dixville Notch, about 15 miles from the Canadian border, backed Bush over Democratic challenger John Kerry by a margin of 19 to 7, election officials said. Independent candidate Ralph Nader received no votes, they said.
Dixville Notch takes advantage of a state election law that allows communities to close the polls after all registered voters have cast their ballots.
The hamlet is heavily Republican. Republicans have won each of the presidential vote in Dixville Notch since 1972 although Kerry's 7 votes this year are two more than Al Gore received in 2000.
The town's entire voting population -- 11 registered Republicans, 2 registered Democrats and 13 independents -- gathered in the Ballot Room at the elegant Balsams resort on Monday evening before they could officially cast ballots at one minute past midnight.

Just hope y'all don't get weird about it and start going fistacuffs.
Wear yer black hoodies to the polling station, and don't make eye contact with anyone. :D

Could be interesting around here. The vandalism against cars and property with Bush signs keeps going up, and the anti-Bush bumperstickers have increasingly violent themes. I might have to go buy a shotgun in case the Kerryzombies get uppity after their guy loses.

I think thats why there was such a large number of early voters this year. Avoid all the chaos and sit at home and watch it on the tube.
Dish Network has a neat feature like they had for the Olympics. You can PIP 5 different news channel's election coverage at the same time.

Goodbye Kerry.
Kerry might want to try a little politicing in North Vietnam. That seems to be where he is most supported.
Maybe the Kerry/Fonda ticket.

I have already fortified my property with a moat that has gators and crocs roaming around in it with laser beams on their fricken heads. I also employed some homeless to guard my house with bows 'n arrows, and to act as shields for my valuables. They work at a surprisingly low rate of one rock per day.
All the Bush and Kerry signs I stole are working wonders for shielding my car from vandals that are keying or spray painting cars.
Today, I am a king.
