Army chopper crew stood down over Indy Lark (http://au.news.yahoo.com/041102/21/rjp7.html)
An Army helicopter crew has been stood down after displaying an inappropriate sign at the recent Indy car race on Queensland's Gold Coast. A crewman held up a sign saying "show us your tits" while the helicopter flew along the beachfront. An onlooker apparently took a photo from a high-rise apartment building and it was published on the Professional Pilots Rumour Network website. A spokesman for the Australian Defence Force says such behaviour is unacceptable. He says the helicopter's crew has been stood down while an investigation is carried out.

Political correctness has taken all the fun out of the Military...even in Austrailia....it's gone too far now.

Agreed, if an Aussie cant hang out of a chopper waving a show us your tits sign than we're all in worse shape than I thought ;) Its every male Aussies birthright.
Hope the guy in front is going 'whooooo, nice tits!'

Yep.... Their money is well spent, when they train these pilots ,and put them into desk jobs for something like this.

Ooooo, look at that state of the art helicopter.

Now I could understand some beach goers getting cranky if they had say a .50 cal hanging out the door and a 2nd sign that said or else.
-
Irony is, it was in Australia. Land of topless beaches.

The flight crew is cordialy invited to Sturgis this year.
Without that sign you are out of place. :D

Hell, it went too far when they discontinued this paint scheme simply because of "political correctness".

How stupid.
Did anything happen to those American helo crews who filmed that couple having sex in a convertible posted a while back?

And near Surfer's Paradise - maybe the highest concentration of serious hotties in Australia, and that's saying a lot.
Heck, if they didn't have a sign like that near the races at Surfer's Paradise you'd almost have to investigate if both crews were part of some big closet homo 'cell'. :)

When I used to fix mountain top repeater sitesin arizona we would get flown there via SAR (search and rescue) Hueys. They were awsome to fly in and since they are basically airborn abulances they can go were they want to.
On the way out to the bombing ranges in the summer we used to make fairly low passes over the colorado river. YOU WOULDNT BELEIVE HOW MANY WOMAN WOULD FLASH US while sunbathing.
Just keep in mind its all fun and games till the public finds out about it!

Bunch of wowsers.
What's the harm in asking nicely for a bit of a flash of flesh?
I can see that they may be upset about the potential risk of old mate letting that sign go and it going straight into the intake, but getting all shirty about the actual message and it's intention is just downright un-Aussie.
If you ask me, it should be compulsory for all women under 40 years of age and 180lbs to flash at ALL passing military craft, be they airborne or otherwise.....after all, it is what these boys are putting their lives on the line to defend;)
