Ohio was called for Bush, as was Alaska. Ohio is near completely counted and Bush's lead grows. Alaska will go to Bush by over 15%.
That makes 269, and with the majority in the House, Bush wins a tie.

We were'nt all Americans before? Still early, remember 2000 when they changed predictions several times, but it does'nt look good for Kerry.

Hasnt been called by everyone. only about half the networs that I can tell have given it to Bush and the gap appears to be closing

With 88% in, Bush holds a 117K lead, that is not narrowing by a statistically significant margin.
It appears New Mexico will put Bush over the top with 274.

I think they changed predictions several times because they relied on stupid exit polls, whereas this time they are not calling anything that appears to be very close at all. And they refuse to call anything on the basis of exit polls, which I think is smart.
I'm not saying it is etched in stone yet, but the fat lady may be warming up back stage.

I'll be comfortable with the call when more of the networks call it.
Admittedly its a longer shot but it aint over yet
only a 116K vote difference as of this moment

I agree, this rules!
Bush re-elected, Republicans gained house and Senate seats. Very much rules. :)
Seems like a mandate for Republicans.

MSNBC just said there are thousands still standing in line voting in Ohio. Still may be too early to call with such a close margin... but it looks bad.
