Three reasons.

A: He is getting some of the blame for the loss, because he is a slimey lawyer who couldn't even bring his own state let alone help in any other way.

B: He is out of office and out of any spot light.

C: He is part of a losing team. America hates losers.

Americans don't like losers...Gore lost...Kerry lost...they are damaged goods and would not get enough support to run.

No limit to how many times a person runs, Nader ran this time, at least the second in a row.

I think if they get beat, they dont want to go through it again. Its a brutal process.

If I recall Powell stated he would never run for President back in 1991. His wife has "Depression", he stated that if he ran, he could not take, or put her through the barrage of personal attacks.

I think he means that Nixon lost to Kennedy but came back to win in '68.
