Lets hear it. Last time we (AH community) got what they asked for. The Ki-84 was at the top of our list, and the B-24 was a favorite. :)

I will offer 3 themes because I really believe that its important to start filling out the planes set for ToD.
First the Sherman should be the next GV but I think there's some aircraft that should be pushed ahead of the next gv.
If the 1st theater of ToD is to be 8th AF Western ETO as suggested a long time ago then the B24 helps.
But we still are a bit short..
1. An earlier P47 (p47C-5 or early D)
2. P38H or early J or both
3. 190A3 or 4
4. 190A6 or 7
No GV necessary for this theater so I would suggest a fifth aircraft:
5. 109G-14
Pacific:
1. P38F (or H or both ...)
2. P39D (or N and Q; or all 3)
3. Ki-43
4. A6M3
For this the theater no GV necessary so I will suggest a Fifth aircraft:
5. Betty or B25 (preferrably a Betty)
Eastern Front
1. Pe-2
2. Yak-1
3. Yak-9m (can stand in for a 9D or 9, its basicallly a 9t with a 20mm ShVak)
4. Lagg 3
Putting another aircraft ahead of a GV

I agree with Wotan, and would go so far as to suggest that any release between now and the arrival of ToD will feature a new plane suitable for the 8th AF Western ETO planeset. I would lay equal odds on another P-38, or FW190.
I also think that in the far, far future, The Solomon’s would be the best Time/Place for the first Pacific ToD, so I think that the Plaeset might start to reflect that at some point.
As for Vehicles, I have my own request: Free the Destroyers from the CV Fleets. Give us a limited Ability to conn destroyers. Allow us to man the 5 inchers (even without any AA capability) and toss in the Torpedo Racks.
If not that, then this: (http://www.ussrankin.org/4e7d0a20.jpg)

Sort of, but our A-5 runs at 1.42 ata.
It has a higher power setting. Plus folks always complain about a '43 a5 in certain setups.
We need it for early ETO stuff. I prefer an A-3 by the way.
Unfortunately we need just as much Ami crap as the we need other stuff. The Ami set is mostly all late war making early war set ups tough.

Why would you perk an LFXVIe Pongo? It's essentially a 1943-44 Spit LFIX with an American built Merlin 266.
And the bubble canopy is really, really late war. Late March, April 45 at earliest from what I can tell. Regular high back fuselage LFXVIs were going from shortly after D-Day.

Just to clarify. Mustang IA was the Allison engined version. No 51Bs with 4 Hispanos in combat.
AVG didn't have F,K,M or N P40s. F model had the Merlin and was used extensively in the MTO with the 57th, 33rd, and 79th FGs. Very few in the Pac.
23rd would have had the Allison engined birds.

I wasn't sure if the Mustang IA was a P-51B or not, to be honest. thanks for clarifying.
When I said the AVG, that included its later incarnation as an actual AF unit in the 14th AF. Sorry for not being clear on that.
The P-40F was powered by the Packard V-1650-1, generating 1300 hp, as was the P-40L ("Gypsy Rose Lee"). I don't list the L as a plane I'd want because it was a stripped down version. I really don't prefer the N either, due to it's lower top speed.
That leaves the K (1325 hp Allison V-1710-73) or the M (1200 hp V-1710-18) as the two next fastest P-40s, and my variants of choice.
In my opinion, if you're gonna have a P-40, it's GOTTA have the sharkmouth paint.

1. manable troops with armament options like bazookas to take out GV's and town ack. And explosive charges to blow up Vehicle hangers. (comando raids during night)
2. Submarines to take out ships or drop comandos off on shore.
3. retrieval aircraft to pick up downed pilots. If downed pilots make it back to a friendly base, they get the kill on the other guy, and don't loose 200+ perks from cracking up a 262.

that russian twin engined fighter tu-2 (like a 110)
B25H (w/ the 75 mm tank gun)
Tu-2
The Tu-2 was the USSR's third (historically) important twin-engined bomber (after the Il-4 and Pe-2), and brought A.N.Tupolev back into favor after a period of detention.
Heavy armament, powerful engines and incredible construction strength allowed the crew after dropping bombs to turn back and engage... enemy fighters.
Tu-2 was a mid-wing monoplane with large bomb bay under the wing and twin tails. Production aircraft differed slightly from each other by nose section shape and size, except long-range versions (those had noticeably larger wing and tail surfaces). Standard crew included pilot (in the front cockpit), navigator (behind him), gunner and radio operator/gunner in rear cockpit behind the wing. Long-range variants sometimes had crew of five, in some missions crew was cut to 2-3.
Bomb load was 1000kg inside the fuselage and 1000kg externally. Tu-2 was often used in overload configuration, carrying up to 4000kg of bombs. Maximum bomb caliber - 1000kg.
Normal armament included pair of 20mm ShVAK cannons in the wing roots and 3...5 7.62mm ShKAS in three (navigator, gunner, operator/gunner) defensive positions. Those were replaced by heavy 12.7mm UBT machineguns. Optional RS-132 launchers could be carried under the wing (up to 10). In later modifications (including the most built) those launchers were deleted.(http://www.ctrl-c.liu.se/misc/ram/tu2-10-prev.jpg)

To be honest, I havent manned turrets in 2.01. The times I've CAP defended carriers, one of my very favorite AH activities, the 5"ers were down already and the fun ended when a lone P38 dumped entire load on the deck.
I really dont know why anyone bothers to up a buff against a carrier anymore.

Was Tu-2 used in r/l with or without V-shaped 3-bomber formation?
