I like the O'Club a lot more now that it's not being micro managed. I'm not bagging on Skuzzy ( I like Skuzzy) ......he was just doing his job.
It's kind of nice to see the OC members keeping things under control here of their own volition. I can't remember how long it's been since I have seen a post that was really over the line.
Maybe all the bad apples are gone? I don't know, but I like the BB the way it has been lately.

I hate censorship, so I can't give you and objective opinion. But unless someone is being outright obscene, I don't see a reason for heavy moderation. The only thing floating in here are ideas ( and a little narcicism but thats besides the point :))

I dunno about the line, or what that is, or when it gets crossed. I guess ya just know it when ya see it.
But we don't all see it the same.
So maybe that's why it's so jarring when ya see a sort of third party moderation happening.

I think one line would be *constant* personal attacks. Its not that a person on the internet should be unprepared for it, but it just starts a flame fest and nothing worthwhile is being discussed, decreasing the forum's value. But in any heated dabate and occasional "idiot" "inbred" "neocon" is going to slip out. I dont think that should be a problem if its not a habit.

The problem is that lot of worthwhile things are preceded with "You complete idiot..."
Just discard the idiot part, and read the rest. It's easy.

If it seems there's less moderation then perhaps it's because there's more civility... they seem to go hand in hand.

I've been guilty of spewing some unwarranted garbage at times, but I genuinely try not to go after anyone personally.
I say stupid stuff like "I win" and "I'm hyper intelligent" and other nonsense, but I'm just having fun.
