Though we had a mixed service back then. Not saying that we weren't prejudiced but Black guys flew in the same aircraft as white guys in the RAF.

I can see this thread getting hijacked back into how well England treated blacks when they imported them into the Colonies or simply conquered and ruled WOG nations. Or how well the Canadians treated (still treat?) Native North Americans.
But to the Tuskeegee airman and all the rest who served, of every race, creed or color.
I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking with about 5-6 Tuskeegee Airmen. Great times.

I understood incorrectly ,I was thinking of segregation.
